KOTOR MONTENEGRO TRAVEL GUIDE (YOU NEED TO VISIT THIS STUNNING CITY!)

Kotor Montenegro is an easy day trip from Dubrovnik and is well worth a visit. In our Kotor Montenegro travel vlog, we show you what you can do in Kotor in one day. From visiting a tiny church on an island in the Adriatic to hiking up to admire the Bay of Kotor, Kotor has plenty of things to do.
After driving from Dubrovnik, we arrived in Perast. It is only a short distance from Kotor and famous for Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa Od Skrpjela). Located in the Bay of Kotor, Our Lady of the Rocks has a church and a museum that you can visit. The boat trip is only about 5 minutes to get to the picturesque island.
After leaving Perast, we visited the Old Town of Kotor. We walked through the Kotor Farmers market and then entered through the Sea Gate. After wandering around the alleyways, we had lunch at Cesarica. We sat on the outdoor terrace and were joined by several cats. There are so many cats in Kotor that they are a symbol of the city. We recommend the stuffed squid and fried squid at Cesarica.
After lunch, we hiked the Ladder of Kotor (Ladder of Cattaro). When we reached San Giovanni Fortress (St. John's Fortress), we had the best views of Kotor Bay. After the hike, our last stop was to get gelato from Moritz Ice in the Old Town.
We enjoyed our short time in Montenegro visiting the medieval city of Kotor. The Bay of Kotor is absolutely beautiful and a must-see during a trip to the Balkans.

Thanks, Ali & Holly. We plan to be in Budva in March-April-May; our first time. Montenegro looks better to us than the other non-Schengen countries. After our 90 days there, we are looking at Portugal, Spain, and possibly France. We have until Sept to return to our rented condo home in PDX. Best, Dean & Cindy

One thing that nobody mentions about Montenegro, is that for €500 you can open your company there for any online business you have, that gives you the residence visa in Montenegro and the right to enter any European country with your Montenegrin residence permit, the crime rate is almost 0%, and taxes of 9% and 200 sunny days a year

😊Last question: to visit our lady of rocks , pls can u type the place from where u took the boat , is it Petris , that’s what I heard from video , but not sure if correct

Hi! The town is called Perast. There is a boat company called Dado that will take you to Our Lady of the Rocks. I believe the boats are docked across from the Conte Hotel. I hope you have a great time when you visit there. It’s so beautiful.

Hi guys I have a question: is it true that when you get the car at dubrovnik, they make you pay a sort of fee to cross the border with montenegro? I heard that there is no really need for that, do you know anything about it?

TBH when we went down to Montenegro we had our own private car, so Im not entirely sure what the procedure is for a rental car. However, we didn't pay any fees when crossing the border but those fees might just be put on by the rental car company
