Montenegro has incredible diversity; From the jagged mountains in the east to the sparkling Adriatic coastline in the west and the medieval towns scattered all across. In this video, we highlight 12 beautiful places to visit:
12. Stari Bar
This ancient town is home to 240 buildings that lie in ruins and can be visited for a small fee.
11. Sveti Stefan
Of all the towns along the Adriatic coastline, Sveti Stefan is the most unique.
10. Lipa Cave
Lipa Cave is one of the country’s largest and most accessible caves. You can only visit with a guide, but tours leave multiple times per day and last about an hour.
☑️ Tour Timetable: lipa-cave.me/tour-timetable/
9. Lake Skadar National Park
Skadar Lake has breathtaking vistas and driving around the lake to the viewpoints is an experience in itself. But if you’re looking for a little more adventure, we recommend going on a boat tour or kayaking.
😴 Recommended stay - Apartment Radovan: www.booking.com/hotel/me/rado...
8. Budva
The bustling seaside city of Budva might be Montenegro’s most popular destination to visit. And while most of the city looks modern and new, there is also a beautiful old town.
7. Tara Canyon
With canyon walls reaching over 1,300 meters or 4,265 feet in some places, Tara Canyon is Europe’s largest and deepest canyon. The canyon is best explored from the water level and rafting is the most popular activity.
6. Durmitor National Park
Durmitor National Park's star attraction is the stunning Black Lake, which can easily be explored on foot. But for more adventure, hike to one of the surrounding mountain peaks, such as Prutaš or Bobotov Kuk.
😴 Recommended stay - Apartment Usović: www.booking.com/hotel/me/apar...
🎥 Watch Prutaš hike video: • DURMITOR NATIONAL PARK...
5. Herceg Novi
Herceg Novi is home to a quaint Old Town, filled with tiny squares, elegant churches, and a fortress. But for the best atmosphere, head down to the waterfront.
4. Perast
With similar looks to Venice, Perast has a rich and powerful past. And in spite of having only one main street, this tiny village boasts many churches and former palaces.
3. Kotor
Kotor is also the most historic place to visit in Montenegro. In fact, Kotor was ruled by various different groups, such as the Illyrians, Romans, and Venetians.

2. Lovćen National Park
From Kotor, a narrow serpentine road takes you up to Mt. Lovvćen, boasting spectacular views that stretch the entire bay to the Adriatic Sea.
1. Prokletije National Park
The Prokletije Mountains are one of the best-kept secrets of Europe. The best way to discover the jagged peaks, valleys, and springs, is by hiking one of the many trails.

As a Montenegrian you guys did a good job with this video! But I must add few must see spots.Zabojsko lake,The Devils Lake(Vrazije jezero), Biogradska Gora, very popular and beatuiful places, especially in spring/autumn.Also,you forgot Ada Bojana witch is near the borded with Albania, after Ulcinj, also a great place to visit,as are some beaches that only locals know;) But anyway, thank you for the recognition :D

So many more places to visit! We were doubting to go to Biogradska Gora, but some locals told us it wasn't worth the extra drive as it wasn't the best time of the year to visit

Hi, just wanted to say thank you :) We (33m, 33f) visited Montenegro earlier this October 23 and followed most of your tipps. We traveled with our own car (from germany) and wanted to share our itinerary based on your recommendation. Day 1 - 5 Kotor: (Stayed right outside of the old town) Day 1: Arrived at Kotor pretty late. Just grabed something to eat Day 2: Lovcen National Parc, Kotor old town, Kotor Castle Day 3: Boot trip (Lady of the rocks, Blue Cave, ...), Tivat, Perast Day 4: Lipa Cave, Lake Skadar (Kayak) Day 5: Sveti Stefan, Budva Day 6 - 7 Prokletije: (Stayed near Gusinje) Day 6: Gerla, The Eye, Ropojana (Since it hasn't rained in the last week it wasn't that great, because the eye was "empty") Day 7: Your recommended hike (Volusnica) So beautiful :) (~6 hours) Day 8 - 9: Durmitor: (Stayed in Zabljak) Day 8: Tara Bridge, Zabljak Day 9: Your recommended hike (Prutas) Also very beautiful, but much harder. (~4,5 hours) Thank you very much for your helpfull videos about Montenegro :)

We purchased a local sim card in Montenegro. You can find it in most cities ( I think we got ours in Bar). Parking wasn't really an issue when we were there, though it might be more tricky during the peak season.

Hi Zac and Ine! We are planning to visit Montenegro in April and would like to do the zip line at Tara Canyon. Do you have the contact details of the zipline that you flown in the video so that we can contact them in advance to check availability in April. Thanks

Hi! They're called Tara zipline on google maps: maps.app.goo.gl/YqzSBjFvfNMLeWNx5 They have a contact number there. Don't worry about availability though! We just showed up and half an hour later we were ziplining!

Zdravo Druge! You have done a good job of showing the natural beauty of Crna Gora and you have touched momentarily on history in the case of Kotor, but in the case of Durmitor, you should have mentioned the heroism of Drug Tito and the Proletarian Brigades who fought off the hugely superior divisions of Nazi German and liberated their country, Yugoslavia, against impossible odds. Make your visit to Crna Gora three dimensional by including history.

For the last 3 years, I traveled to Rafailovici (a place between Budva and Sv. Stefan). Imho Budva and Becici are destroyed with awful modern buildings. But on the other side, coast towards Sv. Stefan (Przno, Queen's Beach and Milocer) are gems. If you are in the area, def check them out. ♥ I need to explore these mountains. Great video! P.S. You forgot to mention, Kotor is now ruled by cats :P

Traveling around the balkans, Montenegro was the ONLY country where we were shaken down with a BS car insurance requirement at the border. Even though you showed proof of insurance, they made us (foreigners) pay a bribe. Soured me on the country to be quite honest.

@worldwildhearts Жыл бұрын
Oh really?! That’s so strange! We never had any issues crossing the border from Albania. We had some issues in Croatia at the border, but our car rental in Albania solved that for us!!

This is by far the most organized and well shot video we watched about Montenegro. As a Ukrainian visiting Buddva, my primary goal became to avoid being surrounded by Russians, so your analogy of calling it a local Miami is a spot on.

only a small correction but with great weight. Montenegro borders Albania, Kosovathe former Dardania,Bosnia, and Serbia. more than 30% of the territory of this country is Albanian land, this is an indisputable fact, and that the Illyrians, the great-grandfathers of today's Albanians, were the ones who lived in their peninsula, all through those places where Albanians live, all of Serbia and up to Croatia it was all the Illyrian peninsula, that is, Ulcinj Budva up to Kotor, which goes up to Berane and is connected to the new market Nobi Pazar and all this is part of Albania that Europe washes away to the Slavs around the Albanian lands and on the other side to the Greek Chamerina from Preveza to Kozan, as far as Montenegro now. Albania was torn apart to satisfy the Ardhachak Slavs and the artificial Greeks in the Illyrian lands. ONE DAY THE HISTORY MAY CHANGE FOR ALL OF EUROPE, THE ALBANIAN LANDS WILL BE UNITED AND THE SLAVS WILL BE LEFT WITHOUT ANY HISTORY AS WELL AS THE GREEKS, AND MANY EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WILL CHANGE THEIR IDIOTIC MANIPULATED HISTORIES. LONG LIVE ALBANIAN NATION 🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱
