Definitely one of the best releases on Monstercat this year. This in the beginning is very atmospheric, with the percussions giving the track a very abrupt theme. The vocals amplify the atmosphere significantly, and the melodies on both drops adds to the abrupt feel this track has to give. This is definitely a top 5 release this year. No doubt about it.

I feel like you'll like a lot of Seven Lions' older stuff as well, like his remix of Royksopp - Running to the Sea, or his song Fevers. He's among melodic dubstep gods as well :)

LIviNg RoUge 5 LIviNg RoUge 5 You'd think that someone who would swear at another person in order to try to prove their point would have to be sure that what they're arguing for is correct, right? Otherwise they make themselves look stupid. Now here's my question. Have you listened to the drop at the very end of the song? Have you listened to ANY of Crystal Skies' other songs? Dubstep doesn't necessarily mean blender sounds anymore. Melodic dubstep is comprised of supersaws, melodic elements, and most often huge chords in the drops. This song checks all of the above. Crystal Skies themselves even say that they make "melodic bass music" on their Facebook page. Please make sure you know what you're talking about before you spew insults at others, there's enough of that on this site already.

This...this is easily the most beautiful song on the label. Nothing else creates such a feeling of despair and shattering like this besides legends like most of you may know, but this for me takes it. The off-drop is beautiful. The piano itself dampens whatever happiness you could find. And...those vocals. They sound like years of isolation in a voice. Plus, there's a lack of instruments, which may sound bad, but it creates an effect where I imagine somethings filling in the missing space, which is awesome. That minimal detail, or lack there of, is personally the most creative part of the song. If this was intentional, it's easily a great decision, and would help the song elevate by a bit. I say a bit because the drop. The drop is...amazing. Phenomenal. The slow but hard hitting beats feel like punches to the soul, stabs at the core of us. And that feeling is... beautiful. Just...beautiful. Overall, 9.8/10. EVERYTHING here is for me to enjoy, but there's the smallest thing I said about me filling in the space. That takes away only .2 points though, and even then I STILL consider it an advantage! So... why not 10/10? Consider it your choice to take my ranking as a 9.8 or 10, but I am leaning more towards 9.8. But beware that the minimal feeling is still an advantage. I have a hard time with the duality, but you'll probably have a harder time. Either way, one of the best songs on the label, and EASILY the best chill track ever made. Unless you think of Seconds Away by Soulero...

Yep, this is indeed one of the best songs on the label. It's very emotional and motivational, I fucking love it. It's sad that the song only has 500K views, but at least that means it won't get reused a lot and won't become stale, so maybe it's a good thing.
