So what, are they going to tie attributes together post build maker? The builds have speed with ball most times, it’s usually just the player lacking vc to complete upgrades on their player. If speed with balll is useless to them, then why upgrade it at all. I feel the exact same about vertical. Dunk wise, I have a 80, vertical can be 60 but it’s only 32, and I jam on peoples heads with basic dunk packages in rec. I have a 70+% with over 130 games and hit 40 in like 2 days lmao so I’m not only playing bums. I be in the pro am and ish too:

That's like making a 1v1 build with no pass accuracy and no swb and not saying this is strictly for 1v1 and you shouldn't take this anywhere else.

I have 2 low speed with ball builds. Here's the facts for anyone on the fence: YES you can still speedboost and it is identical to gold speedbooster because the burst animations have nothing to do with the badge lol - the speedbooster is to maintain that speed, which is absolute trash unless you have 87 accel+82 speed+90 speed with ball. Whether you have 75 speed with ball or 50 speed with ball, you are never going to be fast enough to beat your defender off of one single burst animation unless they are really bad at the game. Having low speed with ball will force you to play the game PROPERLY on offense, you are gunna have incentive to do that second move (crossover to paint or behind the back/step back to shoot) that you would've needed regardless with 75 speed with ball. Don't act like you're fast running up the court with 75 speed with ball lol - but now you gunna learn how to tap R2 to do that overpowered blow-out dribble and suddenly you're speedboosting. Low speed with ball is not only the best choice for the stats BUT it will also make you a better 2K player. TLDR: Literally only players with 87 accel are allowed to do 1 single speedboost and score. Every other build will have to do 2 or 3 moves to get open. Therefore speed with ball is absolutely useless.

The crazy apart about how 2k is approaching the game is that the people that were getting cooked every year were still BUYING the game regardless, they didn't event have to try to put everyone on the same level but they went about it like that anyway. Also, the fact that you're more likely to load into rec with a ai than a full five because of the dumbass way they have rec set up is crazy they literally could have left it the way it was. I been doing low swb because I do great with 40 handles and 40 swb. I didn't like getting ripped so easily so I made a build with 85 handles and 55 speed w ball. I was still getting ripped so I made 92 handles with 77 swb, but you need driving dunk or a high midrange to make really effective.

When you’re guarding someone who can abuse the meter dunk, you can’t just let them drive past you. And if you even slightly drop to cover the meter dunk they can step back 25 feet instantly

I been running a SG lock 92 speed 92 3pt 96 mid 96 perimeter 96 steal... 40 ball handle 25 speed with ball. I average 3.5 steals, 30 points and shoot 72% for both fg and 3pt. The other attributes you can add by foregoing speed with ball make it well worth it for non-pg builds imo. And the left stick cross is still fast AF.

it’s not the swb situation it’s the game itself .. like it’s not realistic and it’s too arcady , you can play the best of defense in the game but as soon as the offensive player gets a sliver of openness they jus shoot it , there’s no realism to the game at all there’s not even a handful of ppl in the league that shoots consistent hash threes

Was watching on my tv, had to switch to my phone to let you know your saying “it’s basically June the games finished they’re not patching or updating the gameplay is final” You clearly didn’t play 2k16 when they took away speed boosting IN THE FIEST WEEK OF MAY MY GUY! ITS DEFINITELY not to late for 2k to nerf/patch a legitimate bug. I’ve been hip, acell and speed with ball haven’t mattered for years man…… Its just a matter of figuring that out before the games been out for 6 months because obviously day one nobody wants to waste money on a build with 82 speed 73 accel and 75 speed with ball on a 6’3 pg, but reality is, that’s exactly what I should’ve done, and then went 80-86 dunk with a 92 3 ball and 91 perimeter. I instead made my first build able to get every gold playmaking badge and a 90 middy with 80 3 ball, 80 dunk and lay, no steal at all. My most recent build is exactly what I wish my first one was. Silver playnaking, gold challenger gold glove/ right stick, still get great dribble moves at 87 or 92 and your still just as fast as any 6’6 with half the stats on playmaking.

Bruh i been doing dis for da last 2 season made a permiter threat w a 98 3 and 85 ball handle and 63 speed w ball and i only had my handle to a 85 and was cooking w 30 speed w ball cause i wasn’t gonna spend more vc and it was jus like my other builds i can prove it with clips and everything and rn i only have a 45 speed w ball rn and cook in park/rec/ ante consistently even dropped off other 2k creators on stream

Not being devils advocate or nothing but you dont need it as a big PG either if you got high pass accuracy to strategically advance the ball like most pgs do anyways and smart enough to call plays like koz said keep the defense on they toes kobe cross to attack the rim etc im not even the best in the game but i bet i can maintain a high 80 w% probably 90w% with a build like this

Listen it’s personal preference I made a no swb build and I hated it. My best build I got this year was from choc and it’s similar to koza defensive 6’6 but can still dribble with 87 ball handle I just put layup on it. What works for koza might not work for u. Btw koza I played u recently in the rec bro GG
