I have ADHD and this helps me not lose track of time and refocus my attention when I'm trying to work on something and my mind keeps wandering.

literally same. The beep sound reminds me to get back on task, and also helps me keep track of (shockingly how much) time I waste during the day pursuing side quests/distractions :D

Thank you! This helps me get through questions quicker because I am forced to move on after 3 mins. I used to spend too much time per question obsessing over details. I don't have that luxury when studying for a big exam with a huge question bank to go through. So thank you so much!

Thank you for giving me a way to ignore work without getting into trouble, I have to look at my computer every 3-5 minutes and its nice to be able to organize my life and get stuff done, and then just look at it when the timer beeps

I'm using this to alternate pick on guitar, doing different techniques for three minutes straight as fast as I can. It's excruciating.... thank you!

Playing guitar should be fun, and hopefully sound good. It's not about shitting out as many notes as you can
@JuliusGulius10 ай бұрын
@@VeraTR909 playing guitar should be fun, yes. Practicing guitar doesn’t need to be and usually isn’t. I can noodle all day long and yeah it’s fun, but it’s not going to improve my skills. I’m either having fun playing guitar or improving my skills and putting in hard work.
@VeraTR90910 ай бұрын
Don't know what your end goal is, I produced music and worked in a guitar store for ~20 years and don't have this kind of 'become a guitar god' mentality anymore. If you want to record good songs you don't necessarily need amazing guitar skills. You don't need them to gig either. so the only remaining goals I can imagine are being able to convince people that you are a great session musician or impressing other guitarists who aspire to become guitar gods No offence meant at all, seriously just want to shed some perspective In my opinion getting familiar with some other instruments is a better way to broaden your skills as a musician Sincerely, Vera ;) @@JuliusGulius

Definitely. It should be a healthy mixture of both, having fun and boring exercises. Also even the boring repetitive exercises can become fun as it kind of becomes a sort of meditation. @@JuliusGulius

It would be nice if the beep at the end was somehow different, so you could realize you had finished without having to look. My strategy right now is to just add it to a queue with an alarm clock sound effect. Although, I suppose I could just put the video on loop...
@benjaminstehr7597 Жыл бұрын
I use it for my Reiki treatments, where each 3 min i have to change hand position. Thanks to the beep, I don’t have to look at the screen or a clock. I may have my eyes closed and just focus on the energy-flow. Thanks a lot for that.

+Ben Weissman Yup, I've used the 2 minute timer to keep the pace going through hundreds of tabs I had pending.
thanks for this. I'm using it for an idle game right now. A random box containing goods appears every 3 minutes, so the beep is a good way to remind my very easily distracted self to go grab it. XD

Perfect for my 10 minute cardio.... Burpee get up jump, down to all fours with four high knees, get up and do 4 jumping lunges. repeat for 1 minute with that 10 second break, oh ya! That's only 4 exercises. I can do 11 rounds. Let's see how many you can do.. best 10 minute workout to insure you'll get ripped. No joke! Don't be a lazy person.. I will slap the shit out of you. I already got one assault charge....
