i think it might have something to do with the sound being something that tends to be more popular with international fans than Korean fans, and then having cultural appropriation in it which a lot of international fans are not into... i think they might have shot themselves in the foot i think even now a lot of us nctzens just kinda ignore it cause we don´t want to deal with it, even though musically it´s genius

these almost all have a similar theme of like slower choruses or they have emptier sounding vocals and the exceptions are some are just catchy lol
