@@bri.a2k This is the intro to there debut EP so you are wrong. It is their MUSIC debut. but this is a pre release single and has been confirmed to be for a while. Literally called a premiere single.

although the title is "debut", i believe there is an actual, "real" debut being released in the future, hence the line "this ain't a debut" (not completely certain that this is correct). hopefully this future song could really reveal their diversity and abilities further !!

tbh i see what the comments are saying. however, being a pre-debut song doesnt automatically mean the song should be underwhelming (also it felt really rushed), since they basically wasted the opportunity to showcase the group's talent and generate hype. just my opinion tho, hope their debut meets my high expectations

First! I love Katseye, but yeah this song is way too short. They have some really great singers in this group though so I hope they are able to do more diverse songs that showcase their talents in the future. Note - Geffen is taking the lead on the Hybe-Geffen collaboration so 😅😅😅

I love *ITZY.* I love their music. I love their songs/tracks. They are so versatile. Their love their rapping, dancing and singing. Their M/Vs or Music Videos are incredible.

The reason why they emphasize that Megan is Hawaiian is because it was illegally taken over by the U.S. government. Manon is pronounced "Mah-nawn", and "Ghanaian" means her family is from Ghana. Most HYBE groups are using the y2k concept, and part of the reason why the song didn't hit is because Geffen is also managing them.

I almost completely agree with you guys, this song feels bland and unfinished (from someone who didn't really watch their debut show or anything). I don't really like to compare groups, but vcha's a good example of a debut done well in terms of international groups made in the kpop system. Hopefully hybe has more prepared for these girlies. This is a good example of a lazy debut. I like it as a song but as a debut? 2 minutes long? No bridge, just two raps and three chorus. This is really disappointing for how long we waited. And while they are coming up with an album this is a debut they have promoted it like a debut so for those of y’all saying this is a pre debut it’s not. For a collab of geffen records and hybe this is just disappointing. The dream academy had more production than this MV. Like for introducing the first global girl group to the world this song ain’t cutting it. Especially with girls as talented as them. Hybe really has lost creativity lately.

Just because they have an album coming up doesn’t mean this is not their debut and even if it was a pre release it’s still the first thing they out out to gain fans attention so we expected more to at least anticipate their “debut”

This song is a “Tesser” to get the publics attention and to not forget about them, however it is still technically their “debut” because it’s there very FIRST release, think of it like “baby monster” (if you know of them) there first song was “batter up” but there official debut was “ sheesh” I think. But in this cause it’s similar to that.

Blackswan is literally a k-pop group because they sing in Korean and promote in Korea, they’re also under a Korean label… Katseye is aimed for the western market, under an American label, and will release English music. I only like this song because of the hook and the "Love me Once..." part. The verses are just slightly behind the line of cringe for me and the LaLaLa just seems like wasted potential. I mean why debut your new group and let them sing "La La La" for a good part of the song. Only tripleS can pull that off. I don't really mind the duration though. Not every song needs a bridge
