I'm literally trying to catch up but WOODZ is definitely a soloist to watch out for. His best Albums 💿 are ONLY LOVERS LEFT, Colorful Trauma and OO-LI. Spotify update messed by albums so I had check to see which albums were missing. Sumin feats on Pool btw.

Hey guys...the girl in the video of "Pool" is Sumin. She is also in a Korean girl group called "Dreamnote". Her name is Park Su Min. :) I knew about Woodz since he was in Uniq. Uniq was a group who promoted both in Korea and China and had Korean and Chinese members. (I'm also a huge fan of Wang YiBo from UNIQ.) Back then he went by the name "Seungyoun". After that he was also in a group X1. His solo stuff is so good. :)

I went straight to Spotify this time. To Woodz profile, scrolled down to the song "Pool(Featuring SUMIN) and clicked it. Found the "Sumin" he collaborated with in the credits. This is what I found according to what she posted there in the "About" column: "SUMIN, a multifaceted artist extraordinaire, is not only an enthralling vocalist but also a proliferate producer, sound designer, and creative director. Why don’t you reacts to legends but unknown artists? Like if you want male solo we have gdragon or taeyang, all bts members, especially jimin and jungkook, taemin, some exo members and so on. (If talking about successful solos.) Woods is interesting guy too but wang yibo from his group has more successful solo and if you have yibo then you need to watch xiao zhan, but both of them Chinese, then you need to watch Jackson wang too 😂 may be solo episode:) and then we don’t need to forget zico and mino solos and if not idol then it’s definitely crush. Did I forget someone successful? No one came to my mind anymore, solos are not so popular in kpop. If for girls the most successful solos are IU, all members of blackpink, hwasa, twice nayeon, girls generation taeyon, sunmi and maybe somi. Who else? Can’t remember anyone outstanding. Ahhh the best ones are probably Lee hi and ailee but they are not idols.

Woodz is one of the most beloved idol of the industry, he is regarded in high regard by a the vast majority of idols and is even friend with the ones you mentioned. You have no right to bring him down when the man is doing everything by himself from writing to composing and producing every single one of his tracks, always delivering live performances. He is one of the rare artists whose creative vision is not dictated by his company. It’s honestly sad and worrying the industry is driven by people who believe quality in music shall be evaluated by their success (although woodz is one of the most successful solo artist in korea atm, just look at the numbers he pulls at his concerts).

I don't care if an artist is unknown which in this case it's not and what's wrong if the artist is not famous? If I like a song I don't give a damn about popularity. It just shows that you listen and watch them only for that reaason which is wrong. Sometimes small artist that aren't that well known are better that the famous one in making music.
