I once left a wooden boomerang in my car in the summer. It no longer comes back, and is therefore classified as a stick by dads everywhere.

I had an idea for a "Will it Bow" episode. What if you took a bunch of plastic bottles and then melted them down. After melting them put the molten plastic into a mold and let it cool. Cut and Sand the plastic then glue to some type of hard wood to make a bow. I thought it would be cool to see if this idea works because you could add all kinds of cool designs into the molten plastic with different colors. Also if you wanted to you could add some small led lights into the mold before pouring the plastic into it for bow fishing or if you stay out to late and don't have a flashlight. Would have to implement a battery pack with a button or switch into the handle piece of the bow for that idea to work. Hope you like this idea, please let me know!

couple hacks I had never heard of. Teflon tape to help keep your tips in, I always wax my tag ends in, cutting them shorter just leads to new tags, and I never leave a bow in a hot car for any length of time, strung or un strung and if i do leave the bow in the car I try to burry it under spare jackets and blankets to keep cooler and out of the sun.

I have cut a carbon arrow just using a drop saw, but I have first wrapped it tightly with several layers of masking tape and it has worked perfectly by cutting through the tape

Great video man! I have to tell you I have always liked and wanted to get into traditional archery and when I just happened to see your video on affordable bows I ended up buying a Black Hunter recurve bow(I found it cheaper that the long bow) I love it! thanks!

I actually used a ratchet strap as a bow press for my compound bow when I was teaching myself, as one does, and it went off without a hitch. I put it on the cams though.

I do the ratchet strap on my compound but it has nubs on the limbs so i can hook with paracord without fear of slipping. I can press it with full 70lb load but I usually lower the weight for ease and safety

Teflon plumbers tape works great for keeping your points from coming off. You just wrap a little bit around the threads and screw it in. Used to use beeswax, but that stuff gets really stiff when it gets cold.
