BUKIT LAWANG - Orangutangs, Rafting & Motorcycles (Gunung Leuser, North Sumatra)

In todays episode I set Exploring Bukit Lawang in Gunung Leuser National Park, North Sumatra. But this time, with my little brother, Magnus from Denmark. We start in Medan with a culinary experience at Bebek Goreng, before going to Bukit Lawang and going off road with our KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
In Bukit Lawang we stay at Eco Travel Lodge, where we start our hike into Gunung Leuser National Park. Here we see Orangutans, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, turtles, giant ants, Sumatran Pit Vipers and much more, before going tubing through the jungle of Bukit Lawang.
Before going back to Medan, we pass Mount Sibabung in Kab. Karo during our one night in Berastagi.
Stay tuned for the next episode, where I head towards Takengon in Central Aceh to learn about their famous coffee and horse racing.

Seriously, dude, your videos keep making me cry with all those majestic beauty of Indonesian natures. Also, it's so much to see you get to enjoy your trip with your brother. It's a good thing he came by since you seemed a lot more cheerful with him around. It's quite understandable considering doing this super long trip alone can be quite tiring and challenging both physically and mentally. Hopefully, we can see Magnus again in the future trip. "PAKET LENGKAP", obstacle ketika motor harus lewatin jembatan gantung, lalu track jalan setapak. Benar2 habitat motor adventure, dalam hal ini KTM390 dan Himalayan411 dapat sampai tujuan walau sedikit usaha saat ngesot ataupun nyungsep. Satu hal yg bikin ngeri sekaligus eksotic, ada ular dari familia Viperidae di sekitar homestay 😅 Fantastic. Cant wait to see your next video soon.

Stayed up late to catch this one. Loved watching this video of you and your brothers adventures together. I think maybe your brother is a little crazier than you are. LOL!! Honestly though, just a real joy to watch the two of you interacting as brothers. Wish my two boys had this same kind of love for each other; maybe one day. So neither of you a fan of durian? That suspension bridge looked like a sphincter tightening moment. That orangutan chugging soda had me laughing, but what an amazing experience to see them up close like that. Sad at the end to see your brother leave. Hope to see him on the vlog again one day.

In 2003 a flash flood hit Bukit Lawang and destroyed the local tourist resorts, around 400 houses, 8 bridges, 35 hotels and guest houses. More than 200 people were killed...

Glad u guys enjoy this trip. Thid vidro just made me regret when i cancel my bukit lawang trip last year. Wish to make it next time. Anyway, u can find orangutans in sumatra and kalimantan. Its a little different kind of orangutans. Make sure u visit them when in kalimantan
