It’s not as simple as that. My bestfriend used to be a social media marketer and she’d literally have to carry her laptop around wherever we’d go because she’d have a set time to post something, answer questions, answer emails, make sure you’re creating fun contests on a weekly basis and so much more. It’s like 24/7 work. When you post it’s for fun but when you’re forced to post it literally takes all the fun away from it. I’m a higher end hairstylist and my entire life on social media is devoted to hair. I have no personal accounts anymore because I no longer find it fun to post my personal life. Social media is one of the biggest hair salon marketing tools and now Instagram just seems like another way to advertise rather than just showing fun photos of what I do on my days off.

Allie Paige I guess everyone’s idea of a fun job is subjective. You should take a small online business class and apply to be a social media marketer at some businesses (that’s exactly what my friend did). Given the fact that advertising is so heavily prevalent online now tons of places need someone to handle that. You may even be able to make it a side job.

Grisel Griselda depends on the company and what duties you have. My gf was a social media marketer for a real estate company and I believe she made around $40,000 annually. That’s why a lot of people do it as a side job if they can keep up.

There’s always a million of things that can interfere with something being done that a boss doesn’t always see since they aren’t always boots on the ground, but validating that a link works in a newsletter or a link on a picture works it’s pretty much the most basic black and white bare minimum check and work someone can do. Like literally do your job. It’s quite simple. Email The newsletter to yourself and check that the links work. Answer a question. It’s not like there’s a million different hands in the pot like most other jobs. wtf

Actually everyone who matters is “on Kristins side”..I’m not sure what you mean by that side comment. But you definitely need to remember to always have 2 references who do have good things to say about you. Btw “Johnny Salgado” is no longer an acceptable name to use. Jaime or Nicky is definitely not either. Itd have been nice to see someone who showed respect to Gina since she was the one who was promoted. Although, we don't see everything that happens at her company, in a typical 40 hour work week, I do sort of question Kristen's leadership because she seems to allow personal carry over to professional, with her employees, which should never happen. I am a supervisor, have been for several years and I do believe in being friendly, personable etc with employees and make them feel comfortable, however, we don't discuss our home lives, don't go out together, they don't come to my home and I don't go to there home, which isn't a horrible thing but sometimes, employees that think you're friends with them, will try to take advantage, show up late, call in or not do the job that's required of them or won't do their job to the best of their ability because they think a friend won't fire them and can get away with whatever they want

There was zero problems between us, but she, as a manager, would hang out with our coworkers. I told her many, many times not to do so. Every time they went over to our place, I’d lock myself in my room. Wouldn’t even say hi. At work, I was cool af. I wasn’t even a manager but I love putting boundaries between coworkers. It’s the best thing to do!

She doesn't seem to have any skill in hiring top people and then compensates for her lack of business sense by bitching people out till they feel deflated. I think Shannon mistook Brittany's kindness for weakness. Shannon's character was very entitled and I am proud of Brittany for finally correcting it when she mouthed off that last time in the office. Shannon can't act like Brittany didn't try or cut her some slack. But based on what I saw it seems like their may have been a miscommunication from Kristin on whether Shannon fell under the umbrella of authority Brittany had. That or I am totally just forgetting cause it's been a while.😂

i see both sides. As boss kristen needs to have printout & clear expectations of duties (i.e.,10 postings per day/answer questions w/in 24hrs) but this is tough cuz shannon's not here to impress & startsups are alot of work...also kristin needs training she does not have the business sense of some ceo w/ 20 yrs of experience

Shannon's personality is literally the same white girl personas I grew up around and it always disgusted me. These are really the type of people that look down on others if they don't share a similar appearance and white girl privileged mentality. But it is satisfying to know people like this will never have peace in their life. Not knowing they already have so much and only want more, at some point they cant always get what they want and their natural greed will always expose them.
