This is a really good cake to make. Easy! Our church is providing the ingredients for this cake to families in need and additional food choices for the holidays. Different flavors and different sodas! I top mine with cool whip because I don't like icing. But our church is providing icing as well as a pan.

It’s Fall. Yesterday I made a Betty Crocker spice cake. Cake mix, 1 21oz apple pie filling, 3 eggs and vanilla extract . Cooked in 2 8 rounds. Made brown sugar butter icing. Put in frig. Husband and neighbors are raving.

Its interesting how with no eggs or oil this still works. You're basically just adding water snd more sugar. And the carbonation makes it fluffy.

I love this idea! With the price of vegetable oil and eggs... This is a great alternative and creative. 😊😊

Take the Angel Food Cake Mix and mix it with one can of crushed pineapple with some jar cherries & coconut. Bake it on 350 degrees. I check the cake after 25 or 30 minutes to see if it's done. If not, then another 10 minutes or how long you think it will be. Everybody's ovens are different. Then, after you take it out after it's cool down then you put a container of cool whip on it. Then you can sprinkle some sprinkles on it. It's soo good. Bake it in a 9x13 pan.

Back in the late 1950's Faygo Pop started a recipes segment to use a bottle of any flavor of their Pop with a like flavor of box cake mix. My favorite still is Faygo Chocolate Pop with a Chocolate cake mix and a Chocolate frosting made with butter, Chocolate Pop, & powdered sugar. Vernor's Ginger Ale was introduced for cooking chicken by the braising method on stove top, & also oven roasting & basting. Faygo Pop, any flavor, was used to make the corresponding flavor of Jello...And, of course with your favorite fruit...Or just sliced Bananas...Remember those old fashioned days? Another drink I just loved, & still do, is my 40+ year old Mason quart jar with three scoops of vanilla ice cream & then pouring in Faygo Root Beer. The other drink is the same canning jar, ice cream, & pouring in Vernor's Ginger Ale. And, two fat straws for both. Oh Lordy God!!! It just doesn't get any better than that. It's not quite 6 AM, & I'm craving both of my favorites, and none of these products are in the house. FYI: Faygo & Vernor's are Detroit born products, just in case you've never heard of them. pop Vernor's Ginger Ale
