About 15 years ago I stopped there to do photography. Got a creepy vibe in one of the houses where a sleeping bag was on the floor. There was a dark room that i did not go into. Got too creepy. Then someone from one of the occupied houses started coming in a car very aggressively to where i was. I got in my car and left. Great photos, but something bad is going on there.

It's a hoax. Most of the hand-writing was female, looked like teen girl and some of the stories written were from female narrative: "had sex to get out of ticket", "seduced my baby brother" (ick!) but the clothing was all girls' clothing and porn was hetero male - current edition of Hustler. My guess is that a college Art or Media major set the whole thing up knowing a photographer would stumble into it and blog about it and it was a school project. Me and a friend went into an abandoned house that had 1 room just full of medical supplies,full blood bags,hospital bed soaked in blood, surgical tools.it looked like people were being harvested for parts the things were laid out. Scared the he'll out of us how realistic it was so we called the police.found out it was once used as a haunted house for Halloween. So panties on the walls and some random diary stuff could just be nothing but stupid teenagers having fun. Could also be dead teenagers...who knows?

You don't get it. Serial killers keep trophies. Each pair of panties could be a murder victim. Teenagers and vagrants write random graffiti, and it all looks the same: conventional obscenities, gang tags and drug references. The graffiti and the ""decorations" in this house look way too organized. The writing on the wall is all the same handwriting and is very detailed. It looks like journal entries complete with dates. They said when the guy went public with it, it was all moved overnight to a different house. That speaks volumes. If you read about Ted Bundy or BTK they kept boxes full of personal items taken from their victims. Just like hunters with stuffed deer heads on their walls, they want to relive the thrill of the kill.

A similar event happened to me and it really WAS truly disturbing. When I first walked into a large building by mistake, I saw female underwear, bras, boxer shorts and even socks everywhere. What makes it more horrifying was that some people were actually in there. I froze because some of them were young kids no more than six years old. Some adults were using a white powder which I assumed was cocaine and so I ran out as fast as I could and called the cops. They arrived quite quickly and after investigating inside they came out, slapped me 'round the head and said: "It's a laundromat, you fucking TOOL"

I went in an abandoned hotel across the street from my apartment and I saw disgusting horrible things there. I never reported it but there was copious amounts of blood and feces all over the place. It’s currently being demolished atm.

This is creepy if you've ever been to rural New Mexico (not just watching this from another country). There's a real Hills Have Eyes/Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe at times. And then you walk into an abandoned building and see this? You would assume it's a serial killer.

Wow. I was hitchhiking at night from Albuquerque in winter 1971 and some creepy guy picked me up. He told me he was taking me out to where I could get to I-40. He never did anything untoward, but I got a creepy vibe. He dropped me off in Cuervo. There were dim lights on in a few places, but it was really creepy. I don't spook normally, but I was really uneasy. I could see the highway, but it was across a field. It didn't look too far. I thought about staying the night, but something told me not too. It reminded me of the vibe in the story, "Shadow Out of Innsmouth" by Lovecraft; a sense of rot and decay and fear. I took off across the field to get to the highway. It immediately started to snow. The wind started blowing. Hard. It was very, very dark, the only light was the headlights on I-40, scattered by the snow. Hard to tell where to go. I walked a ways and promptly fell over a barbed wire fence. I walked further. I fell into a hidden swale in the brush. It was getting very cold, much colder than it had been in town. The highway actually appeared further away than it had from the town. I hit two more barb wire fences and another swale, this one deep and I started to panic a little; I was really cold and stuck in brush. No one would find me. I got out and ran the rest of the way to the highway. I flagged down a car, a family from Amarillo who were very kind. I've never forgotten that experience, because it was the only time in my life I was ever afraid of the intangible. I have never believed in the supernatural. I'm an atheist. I suppose it was a reaction to something which triggered primal instincts to flee. The only time I've been scared like that. I don't think I'll be returning there.

Used to be that places like this could go for years and years without things like this going on. Now they've become magnets for more trouble than they're worth, and dangerous to the extreme. City / county ordinances need to be in place to have them razed to the ground and removed after a certain period of time, especially if there are no other legal owners that should assume the responsibility of either permanently and properly closing them up or tearing them down.
