Great advice! I think I’ve been thinking of pad work far too rigidly. Calling out using numbers instead of trying to teach my partner to react to how the pads are being held, I will definitely be applying this going forward!

I have a big problem when holding the pads. And the problem is that I have some big bruises on my forearms. I don't know what I'm doing wrong when holding them. Should I tell them to not punch so hard? I don't want to be that person, but it really hurts and I don't like to go around with those bruises. 😞 I should really like some tips to stop getting bruises because of the pads.
@KruMuayThaiTV3 жыл бұрын
Hi I am sorry you are getting bruises. One factor could be the pad itself not protecting you. Feel free to send me a link to a video of you holding pads and the actual type of pad and I will be happy to reply with some comments. Send the video file or link to kruaceramirez@gmail.com

I think you are holding the pads too far apart for the 1-2 causing him to have to over rotate to reach the target like punching two different people two different targets stood next to eachother. It's better and more realistic to hold them as close together as possible Infront of your face like they are punching one head one target in the same position
