CLIP DESCRIPTION:
The fellowship is deceived by the Seer, who turns out to be a changeling sent by The Beast.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Meant to be a whimsical sword-and-sorcery film about a prince out to save his princess from the jaws of the Beast, Krull has enough scenes borrowed from blockbuster predecessors (Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T., Robin Hood, Star Wars) and is gentle enough to be rather derivative, ordinary fare. Prince Colwyn (Ken Marshall) has inherited a kingdom under siege by the evil Beast, and not only has to rid the land of the monster, but he has to rescue his bride Lyssa (Lysette Anthony) from the Beast's clutches as well. In his magical land, horses can sometimes fly, medieval castles can harbor weapons that light up, and before he can defeat the Beast, the prince has to get his hands on the glaive (French for "double-edged sword"), a razor-sharp, magical weapon capable of killing the monster. One of the more notable aspects of Krull is that a 30-year old Liam Neeson plays the bit part of Kegan, in only his third full-length feature film.

Scene disturbed me for years. That weird melting effect coupled with that horrible scream. Lately Ive been obsessed with finding weird scenes like this in other movies.

It's an awesome movie. The way it's set up is awesome. How often do you get a movie with aliens with shooting swords invading a planet where people fight back with swords? Literally one of my favorites

I rewatched it a couple years ago. It's actually a very good fantasy film. Especially for it's era. I rate it up there with Conan the Barbarian (1982) and Dragonslayer (1981).

I was 10 years older and dropped two micro pills of mescaline....can you imagine? The older friend I was with, he was always skirt chasing, he wanted to see something degenerate and "I want to see something trippy". It went back and forth until somehow I managed to win and here we walk in to the afternoon showing, right when the beginning wedding got raided and I was LURPED to the BUH'JESUS and here he is in agony the whole movie, he couldn't stand it, and even I had to admit, I wanted something trippy and this movie.....there is no other movie really this trippy. This movie IS mescaline..... I don't know how to explain it.

Along with the T-1000, the Beast's Changeling is one of the scariest infiltrator assassins. When you see those dark eyes, you know there's trouble.

It's weird, because they're aliens. They're completely foreign to the planet Krull. Do they "replant" themselves? Do they travel underground back to the Black Fortress? You never know.

1:01 The lead actor is told of Changlings for the first time... coincidentally he plays Michael Eddington on Deep Space 9 (with a lot less hair) where Changelings are an even bigger issue.

Those are the things I remember most from this movie as a child; a cyclops, a badass bladed boomerang and scary creatures that go EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, I remember this movie, but now I see all the actors I've known elsewhere. Freddy Jones, Liam Neeson, Alun Armstrong (who is in everything), John Welsh (who USED TO be in everything). Not to mention Eddington from DS9 in the lead. And Bernard Archar's chin. Oh, look - there's Hagrid!

i never understood what audience they were aiming for ... this worm entering the sand with such a scream is nightmare material, and clearly intended for adults, but overall the story and other elements are more like for kids
