This is still a kid at this point, who's coach was just fired, who's going through some dang tough team dynamics over the last year+ with all the veterans he's played for gone. His comments come off exactly like every other athlete who's just trying to kind of focus on playing the game and blocking out the noise. You see from this he obviously respected the Chief and fans blow comments wayyy out of proportion. But now he learned a lesson - fans are fickle.

Kyrou clearly isn’t training off the ice, or doing the things he’s supposed to be doing. You don’t drop from 37 goals, to this, when you’re 25. Guarantee Kyrou (and possibly Thomas) went to Armstrong’s office and told him they can’t play for Berube. Next to Armstrong’s complete mismanagement of this team, Kyrou is probably the biggest reason Berube got fired- which his comments clearly show. Now he wants to be the victim. Unreal.
