Thank you so much for this video very detailed Pls I wanted to ask for the employment part,back in my country I was self employed I never worked for anyone in my life I just buy and sell online but since k moved to the USA I haven’t been running my business I stoped Should I indicate it there that I was self employed and if yes How do I indicate it Eg: unemployed- self employed? I’m actually confused

1st. Kseniya, I want to thank you because in one of your videos I asked you about my i485 Adjustment of Status being too long out of processing time and you recommended me to contact a congressman representative. And I did contact one here in Orlando FL on March 06 2024 and they answered me at the next day and my i485 just got approved this March 23 2024. Thank you very much for your advise.

Hi Kseniya, thank you for your informative video on completing the I-485 form, particularly the sections pertaining to questions 26a - 26c. I originally entered the U.S. on an F1 visa, and my I-94 from CBP website indicates an expiration date of 'D/S.' However, I've since changed status to H1B, and my latest I-797 Approval notice specifies a hard expiration date for my I-94. I'm uncertain about which expiration date to use when filling out the form: should I go with the 'D/S' date from my initial entry, or the expiration date provided on my H1B approval notice? Additionally, when completing the 'Immigration status on Form I-94' field, should I indicate the status I held when I last entered the U.S. or my current status as per my H1B approval? Your expertise would be greatly appreciated in clarifying these nuances. Thank you for your dedication to helping navigate through these intricacies!

My American born husband has 2 adult children, do I list them as step children ? Also, I won a place in the DV lottery in 2021, lodged a ds260 but never got called for interview due to COVID. My application for immigration therefore wasn't made in Australia as such, should it still be listed in the 1485 or somewhere else in my AOS application ? I don't have a 'case number'. thanks so much

Privet Kseniya (: If your Visa is on an old expired passport, and in your recent arrival you entered with your recent one, but the Visa is on an even older one, should you still fill that? because it wants the Visa from the passport you entered with and that's not the case

Hi Kseniya, first of all many thanks to you for creating these videos! I have a question - I entered the USA 9 years ago on an F1 visa. Since then that passport has expired and I have a new one. Also, I am now on H1-B visa. I have not traveled internationally since then, so my I-94 still has information from the F1 visa. On the I-485 form, should I enter the details from my original I-94 form or should I use the I-94 from the I-797A of my H1-B? Thanks in advance!

@@anaromerov I assume you have to put the number of the passport you submitted for inspection on your last entry, even if the visa is on an older, expired passport. This is because that number is the one associated with your visa on your last entry, not the expired one.

Hello Kseniya I hope all is well, I’m trying to apply for adjustment of status but I lost the passport that I used when I last enter the country and it’s something that it’s asked to provide in the application. Once I sign in the steps were… Pay fee Submit ds-260 & Submit Affidavit of support Choice of agent (ds-261) link is disabled and is not working for most of us, I did research and most peoples has same issue. But I did pay, and submitted all documents already. Will there be a problem for not submitting ds-261? 2. Can I add joint sponsor after I submitted my I-864?

Hello, sorry I didn’t see this comment earlier. 1. Usually the issue resolves in a few days. It’s a common issue unfortunately 2. Potentially - if you don’t have an option to upload additional documents or “add a sponsor” you can always bring all the necessary joint sponsor documents to the interview

When filing the I-130 online, is it sufficient to send a copy of the online I-797 receipt with the paper I-485, or must it absolutely be a copy of the 797 paper version that is sent by USCIS in the mail? My husband is now petitioning for my daughter who is out of status. My GC is still pending however I am working. Never file taxes as I have only started working in Jan 2024. Can I fill out the i864A

They’re only considered your stepchildren if you got married before they turned 18. You’ll mention if you’ve ever applied for an immigrant visa overseas on the form I-485 in one of the questions

Thankyou so very much. The application was lodged directly to the states and didnt get to be sent to an Australian embassy office so which embassy should be listed. Ive looked but dont think i was ever isdued an alien or case number, does that sound right to you ?@KseniyaInternational

@@KseniyaInternational thankyou anyway... Almost ready to lodge. It keeps prompting us to lodge divorce paperwork for me although we'd clearly stated I'd only had 1 (the current) marriage... We figure to just ignore it. I'm also overthinking the 130A should have seperate attatchments but it's part of 130 and we have added soooo much supporting evidence. 😀

Hi Kseniya! USCIS finally returned my package to me after 2 months. It had to be returned because my payment didn't go through. I know I will have to exchange a few pages (for example, I came on a K1 visa but now I am out of status on I-94, meanwhile wheh I initially sent my package I was not, so I'll have to change that), but the rest could definitely be reused, such as IRS statements etc. Is it okay to send them some of newly printed papers and some of the same ones I sent first and they returned? My whole package has numbers printed on bottom of all the pages. So should I just reprint everything because they'll have to put new numbers?

@@user-ht2wf6lm8x you can reuse your evidence but do not mix and match pages on the actual forms. If you have to make a correction just print out a new form. Also double check that your forms still have the same edition dates at the bottom as on the USCIS site.

Hi kseniya! I need your help regarding on filling up my name I do have confusion. In the Philippines we used to have second name and our middle name is our mom’s maiden name. In the US is different. I am planning to fill up all forms with my first name including my second name and my middle name is my maiden name and last name my husband’s. It will be confusing to the USCIS if i have 2 names written on First name and use my maiden name as my middle name? Thank you!

I am the petitioner I received I-797C form with my A number. My mom is the beneficiary and didnt got A number in the Form 1-797C, she’s filling out the I-485 so she has to put my A number or leave it blank I need help please 😢
