I think KT is one of the most under appreciated out there.

i'm not even into this kind of music, but oh god, THIS is a live performer, the whole show is exclusively on her back and she carries it like it's NOTHING, recording loops, chatting, calling people to sing along... i love this woman, we need more people like this in the world

My younger sister would listen to KT Tunstall on repeat. It makes it hard to come back to these songs nearly 4 years after she died.

She used to do open mic nights as a teenager in some bars in my village in Scotland. Who knew when we were sitting drinking pints we were being entertained by a future superstar.

What an absolute pro performer. She worked her ass off to get that sleepy audience to give her all of whatever energy they could muster. Her enthusiasm was infectious and bulletproof.

Love her energy, true artist.

Now THAT's talent. No need for autotune, unlike some "artists" that are around. And she can sing, play, and manage the loop pedals all at the same time.

There are just so many "juicy bits" to the melody of this song - it's intoxicating to sing. It's spiritual, uplifting and transcendental - and that's just the music, not the lyrics. Amazing...

I was perhaps 12-13 when the song had come out, and I had loved it. I went on to play guitar, sing a bit and headline a couple of bands. If you are a decent singer, you'll not sing off-key. But it is a whole another beast to get the timing right. Now add to that when you are playing a guitar, and then remove the band, and yet make it sound as good as the record. Respect to KT for being so hardworking that she nailed the song so effortlessly. Ofcourse the song is a favorite of mine. Thanks for inspiring. Wish her all good luck, health and success.

Hell of a woman. Christ, as huge as she was for (quite) a while there, she really never got the recognition she deserved. Heal Over is among the most technically brilliant songs ever written.

It has been a hell of a long time since I have seen her play live but she is such an exceptional musician. Not one ounce of pretentiousness about her and she knows how to work a crowd for sure. Who could resist when one woman was responsible for creating a live, layered performance.
