KTLA celebrates L.A.'s Armenian History Month with special segment

April is Armenian History Month in Los Angeles County, and KTLA is paying tribute to local Armenians who are making a positive impact in their community. ktla.com/news/local-news/ktla...

I was telling one of my sons about Armenia, since he wanted to know another place to send Donations. I gave him 4 sites that were recommended by a Street Preacher I like. He has a KZfaq Ministry called, "Off The Kurb". One of those sites was an Armenian Ministry. I knew some Armenian history since I'm a History buff of over 60 years but your program is a nice update, so I can tell him more. Ironically, another son has the "First" Food Truck in America specializing in Keto Food. The story about the man who spread the concept will lift the Spirit within him. A future daughter in law had been teaching in Turkey for a few years. Christians aren't safe there, still, so we urged her to get out now !! She got out one week before the Plandemic lock down. Thank you for sharing this program. 5/4/2022

Shavo?... one solid dude and a true creator ..much respect for him..Creating is one of the main qualities of Armenians and you can research that ...throughout history Armenians have been creators of many wonderfull inventions ...now ...what we create... really depends on the enviroment

Vivian Leigh? Come on people that's a bit of stretch. There are so many other famous Armenians, how about Mike Connors from Mannix born Krekor Ohanian, Eddie Mekka born Eddie Mekjian who played carmine on Laverne and Shirley, Eric Bogosian etc... Cher and Vivian Leigh? Really?

Cher is HALF Armenian. She's been to Armenia and has donated money to our causes. That's a stretch? You list a bunch of men and dismiss very prominent women that were mentioned.

@@varuzhshakbazyan5732 Vivian Leigh comes from a mostly British-Indian heritage that married Armenians in India because of their similar religious beliefs. She's not the only one who's British with Armenian heritage because of the India connection. Princess Diana was another example.

When the Ottoman Empire was at its strongest, it did not harm the Armenians, but when it was about to collapse, it committed genocide against the Armenians. If it is true why would they commit genocide while they weakening ? If they had committed genocide, I think they would have done it when they were strong.

they wanted to keep as much land as they could when the ottoman empire was dissolving, and much of eastern turkey is part of historic armenia. thats why they got rid of the people living there.

Because when they were strong, Armenians were a huge part of their economy, when they became weak, they wanted to remove the Armenians and take their sector of the economy. Ottomans only considered Muslim inhabitants to be citizens.

@@ArthaxtaDaVince777 Ottoman people had a multi-religious structure. A raki factory was opened in Edirne for its non-Muslim people during the reign of Abdulhamid
