I get to experience my first 3-400cc bike in years and I’m pleasantly surprised. A2 license holders and people looking for such bikes are spoilt for choice and all for the better.

My decease won't let me drive a bike :( I feel sad and terrible for that. Even thought I got the next best thing, my dream car... it is amazing to see the "biking world" trough your cameras... Whoa, I'm a fan for such a long time now and you don't stop surprising me, your dedication in your edits is pretty huge and you keep improving through the years. I love your new intros btw. Keep doing what you do best man and thanks for letting me... well, at least dream a bit ;)

Perfect, i was waiting for it. I have this bike and it is my next bike after 2 years on scooter. I am very satisfied, it has really much power and easy to handle ;-)

The seat could be upgraded with an aftermarket one, or maybe KTM themselves have some options available. I remember the catalogue saying parts could be upgraded direct from KTM, so if that's the only complaint, it's a pretty solid bike then. Always liked these bike's design. Would be a hard choice for me going with this, or a motard.

Nice little review RJ👍 With regard to the physical size of the 390. I agree my wife has the previous version and it fits her perfectly as she is small and light. I find it cramped if I have a spin on it 'cos I'm not!😄 Have a great trip btw.🏍🏍☀️☀️

I just bought a duke 390, i just got my driver's license and rode it for the first time today, i expected a bit more power to be honest but for the price i can't complain, overall i like it.

Im getting a full system Akra for my Honda CB650, last one in Australia and its not cheap but boy will it spice the bike up and increase its value.

It's such a fun bike man. I have 5,000 miles on mine and I still have a blast riding it. But you're right, the pegs are a little too high. I only have a 30 inch inseam and my legs feel cramped on really long rides.

I've been riding my 2017 duke 125 for about 6 months now. I'm thinking about upgrading to the 390 in august, and from the way you handle this bike, to the way it sounds. Let just say august can't get here fast enough. love the video RJ, keep it up -Ride Safe ✌️✌️

Bought mine 2017 390 duke last july,go for it you wont regret it ;) just keep in mind that it has triple the power(KW) than 125 so go easy if you get it :D

Got this recently, white version though. I agree with your criticism with the seat, i consider it a very small con. All in all when you consider the value for money, it's one hell of a bike. Since it's only made in India, we get it for a very very good price. Cost me 4500USD/3700EURO including all the taxes and insurances. It's also 100-200EURO cheaper in other Indian states.

What is the weird dragging noise you hear or is that due to the recording? At 5:13 for example it had stopt for a few secs, but as soon as you manipulated the throttle you could hear it again.

Phantom Rides I have to say... i own the 390 RC and i have a love and hate relationship but with it but that's because of it's "racebike" ergonomics. But i am a littld disapointed from the engine. It's great, makes a lot of power down low but it always feels like a Ducati engine it's just not smooth. I like the 390s but a 790 has got to be in my garage next year 😉😂

Cyber SharK There was the RC8... Should work again. A powerful engine is already in the Superduke... and they only need to make the RC bigger and more aggressive looking than the 390 and done 👍

I think with the lighter materials and fuel injection now, there is no "need" for the larger cc bikes especially if you are doing only legal speeds ;)

Hi RJ, The Grom is getting a little brother. Honda will use the engine of the Grom for the Monkey, a former 50cc motor. This wilt be replaced by the 125cc from the Grom.

I am still torn between the KTM 390 DUKE, or the Honda CB500F For £1,000 more, you get another 100cc, and the CB looks more impressive. Your thoughts RJ?

If you're going for the RC be ready to have a lot of back aches cause the riding posture is really really stiff, mostly noticeable when you're tall! Do spend some time with it !

Im 19, in 10 months i’m allowed to ride a bike with 35 KW, this 390 sounds like a good beginner bike! Thanks for the video (Btw im from the netherlands, we can ride maxium of 500 cc with a license you can get when ur 20 years old)

lucKYluc nope i was 20 when i got my a2 licence. I drive a Kawasaki w800 800cc 35kw not downgraded. Depends purely on the kw, not the cc's

I have a 390 since 15, now it has 40000 KMS and is a very reliable bike. The only problem was with the cooling system, but it was replaced by the 690 one and that's all. Greetings from Medellin, Colombia !

RJ, do you prefer the stock mirrors shown here, the mirrors that drop down below the handgrips or the mirrors that attach to end of grips and hang out beside them or wide? These here in this video are easier to glance at without taking too much time away from the road ahead I think. But I'm new to riding so I would love your thoughts please. Thank You!
