KTM 690 Enduro Rear Shock Bearing Replacement

The lower Heim joint at the bottom of the shock absorber on the 690 Enduro and other bikes is vulnerable to a lot of dust, dirt, and water ingress because of it's exposed location. Once the seals and/or bearing are worn or damaged, they should be replaced. I discovered it's a fairly simple job, with no special tools required - even though the 690 makes it somewhat difficult to remove the shock from the bike because of having to partially remove the fuel tank. A tip to get the first wire clip out, is to tap gently the old bearing, so it will rest as much as it can on the other side clip and give you more space to extract the first one. Also have a look at the bearing connecting bones to the frame. Over there the bushing likes to flake off the coating. Nice vid!

Good work! Hard to pass up on All Balls price wise. I just repack them with fresh grease every riding season and haven't had a problem. Looking forward to your camping video. Quick question, what done would you recommend keeping price in mind? Thanks for the video

What done? Drone? 🥴😅 Cheers mate yeah I usually get decent quality Japanese wheel bearings from the local bearing shop, they're generally even way cheaper than All Balls but of course these specialty things, bit harder to find 😬

@@Sum4Seb my little DJI Mini 2 has been great I had it for 3 years and never crashed it, but as you'll see in an upcoming vid it's currently parked in the top of a fairly tall tree 🤦 I'm not 100% up to date on the latest offerings but the Mini 3 I know at least has some obstacle avoidance, so what's happened to mine probably wouldn't happen with the Mini 3 😬 Think they're reasonably priced too compared to the bigger drones
