It won't be in the shops until Feb/March 2022 but we sent Mr Adam 'Chad' Child to Modena for a spin on the bold new #ktm #rc390 with its completely new styling, frame, suspension, wheels, brakes and, for the first time in this class, cornering ABS and lean sensitive traction control that are among the significant upgrades for this new #motorbike

@@freebehindbars8654 I was just talking about front profile didn't talked about the performance or style's. The design is just perfect based on the rc 8 bike used in moto gp. Everything is just perfect but the headlight just look unfit. it's upgraded but i don't like a bit. And about bike i ride s1000rr, Hd iron 883 MF 🖕.

@@someforall Yes, this one has bigger cockpit and visor. Where is the battery located though? Is it still in front of the fuel tank? Or has been relocated to underneath of the seat? No reviewer ever says about the battery.

Ordered this bike as soon as the dealer had an allocation for one, loved the styling... KTM changed the graphics and color layout after I placed the order and told me tough luck the bike looks different now.. Ill still enjoy the ride but really crappy end of the deal and customer service when asking why I didnt get the bike as advertised..

I've seen the Prototype it was super dope. The only thing I hate is that transparent fairings. The shape is very awesome too bad it looks bad and flat and wide because of the transparent. If you want to see the RC 390 prototype, pretty sure you will fall in love with it.

(almost) a beautiful bike. If only those front sign lamp not as big as that and more closer to the headlamp to make the front end more narrow, it will be gorgeous.

Exactly that's what I feel, the indicator strips ruin the look, instead they should chop those off and use the side mirrors as indicators again and the looks will be better than even the old model

Great upgrade in terms of technical aspect. But a big let down in the aesthetics part. Doesn't look razor sharp anymore. Guess, they had to cut costs somewhere!

Thanks Joe, I guess appearances are subjective. I am a fan of that front end, it looks more grown-up with the entire fairing and headlight surround seemingly designed with a purpose. Especially with the market it'll be targeting, which isn't necessarily Europe. Cheers, Michael

I dislike the looks too sorry. That front end looks awful now. I have a current one and think it’s quirky but beautiful? I can’t see this one ageing well. It may be lighter but it does not look it. Rear subframe looks good though!

Everything is new,but a bit unfortunate because KTM should upgrade the engine block at least 400cc. And the horse power increase at least 46hp. So,in my opinion, KTM RC is still the same platform.

I belive the ZX-4R will be the class leader for on track use, and lets be real, thats what those bikes are made for, the dont make a lot of sense for street use, a ninja 400 is far more practical than this will ever be. The looks, the rear is sexy, but that front, I just dont dig it.

ZX4R is still a concept and it took Kawasaki around 4 years to make ZX25R (tipping the weight scale at 180+ kg) which is only sold in South East Asian market and Japan. Ninja 400 is a sports tourer and RC 390 is a pure sports motorcycle.

@@wolfpack1740 because the rules favour ninja 400, have you actually read the rules noob? KTM has much lower rev limiter even though it has a smaller engine and a single cylinder. Still KTM manage to win races and and it does good in the championship.

@@wolfpack1740 in outright power with no limit RC 390 makes 54+ wheel horse power and it is still lighter than ninja 400 which makes 56+ wheel horse power from a 2 cylinder engine.

The overall package is kinda juicy and overkills in terms of beginner bike. This is very much a KTM DNA. Yes, I know how ugly it looks compared to the first and second generations of RC390 (Who would have thought this was a good idea anw?!). But when they removed the mirrors, I'm afraid...... I'm starting to like the way it looks~

Seems like they improved everything but the looks and power output. Should be a nice bike. Folks in Europe really need to push their leaders to remove the A2 class and mirror the US. These A2 restrictions go beyond borders and are basically mindless and only serve to limit progress in the small displacement space.
