In a few places in the US I learned before the pandemic spitting was not even a crime. I learned this from my friends friends who were in different states. Pick your drive-thru carefully, and try to be a regular. There are no-go locations in my town, and it's not because of poverty or any sociopolitical nonsense, it's mainly just because some areas have less business, corporate doesn't check on them as often, so a lot of BS slips thru the cracks. Fast food is a hit-or-miss but after delivering for DD, UE, and GH, it's pretty secure and something like this would be because the store manager looked the other way while the employee was doing this, and what's more disturbing is how often this employee used this 'strategy' against customers. Truly disgusting and sad
