仕込み勾配ほ、確か8寸勾配だったと思います。 仕込み勾配が緩すぎると、私の感覚では、鉋の引き口が重くなり、逆目も止まりにくくなります。 起こし過ぎると、食いつきが悪くなり易く、ガタツく原因の一つになりがちな気がします。

Thank you for watching my video. The paint I use on my kanna dai is an oil-based paint with a low sheen. The purpose of this paint is to slow down the breathing of the dai, to reduce deformation, and to prevent the dai from being stained by sweaty hands.

In my case it is strongly influenced by the thickness and angle of the haguchi. The thicker the haguchi, the more difficult it is to see the area up to the edge of the blade in shadow. Similarly, if the angle of the haguchi is not perpendicular, but closer to the slope of the blade, it will also be in shadow and difficult to see. Considering the relationship between the blade and the uragane, it becomes easier to see if the uragane is sharpened in a different way. Uragane is sharpened to 60°, but at this time, the blade edge of uragane should be sharpened in two steps. If the edge of the uragane is sharpened as large as possible and the thickness of the 60° part is increased, the visibility of the blade edge will be enhanced.

有難うございます！ ケチリンって確か、中高に研ぐ事ですよね？ 私は、基本的には刃先は真っ直ぐ研ぎます。 しかし、ヘラシ鉋やアラシコ鉋、狂いの大きな部材を仕上げる際には、中高に研ぐ時もあります🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

@@chantarokichi5360 お疲れ様です。返信ありがとうございます。 ハガキの角をハサミで５厘ほど切ったような面を鉋表の左右端にとるんですけど、仕上げ削りの時の鉋さかいを無くすのに取ってます。１０００番程度の砥石の裏で、鉋表を自分に向け刃は、４５度に持った状態で３回ほど引くだけなんですけど。 確かな根拠がないので、雑談程度に聞き流して下さい。お時間とらせました。

私の場合は、台直し直後は真っ平で使用します。 その後使用しているうちに刃口の後ろや腹などが当たってきたら、必要な分だけ鑿ですきとります。 以前は台直し鉋を使用して髪の毛一本ほどすき取ったりしていたのですが、現在ではあまりそこらへんにはこだわって無いです。 もちろん、ヘラシ鉋や荒鉋などは、大きくすきとります。

鉋台自体は、電気鉋で落とします。 落とす際には、裏金の押さえ棒の位置で、厚みを決定します。 特注で、厚みを指定して台打ちを頼んだり、または自分で台打ちする際には、押さえ棒の位置は、任意に決めることが出来ます。 ですが、既製品などの場合には、それが出来ないので、私の場合は、押さえ棒から、最低3ミリは上の位置を厚みの限界と定めています。 裏金を締め込んだ際には、押さえ棒は上に持ち上げられる力が働くので、身の残りが少ないと、亀裂が入って割れてしまいます。 下端を削って薄くするのは、絶対不可です。

そうです。 既製品と言うか、一応、注文品では有ります。 自分で打ったものでは有りません。

@@user-lr3ww1nm3e はい。 下端を削ると、刃口がガバガバになってしまうので、下端は絶対に削りません。 上端を削る際には、押さえ棒の高さを基準にして、削ります。 最低でも、押さえ棒より上に3ミリ程度は厚く削らないと、裏金を締め込んだ際に、押さえ棒の位置で台が割れます。

私の場合は、関係しています。 裏金が固いと、押さえ棒を通じて無理な力が台に伝わります。 その結果、台がねじれたりします。 あくまでも、なるべく台に無理な力がかからない様に私は心掛けています。 そうすれば、台が狂う原因は、刃の出し入れでは無く、純粋に空気中の湿度の変化のみに絞ることが出来ます。 薄削りを目指すならば、空気中の湿度は死活問題になり得ますが、私の仕事で使用する程度の調整ならば、季節の変わり目などの大きな変化以外は、余り差し支えがないと思います。
