Kua Bay -if you love blue, blue, blue water and white, white, white silky sand, this beach was named one of America's top ten beaches to visit. For those that can not get here, sit back and enjoy the pretty.
Located about 20 minutes north of Kailua Kona, Kua Bay is a great beach to enjoy...but, waves can be dangerous, there is no shade on the beach, and please don't wear chemical sunscreen in the water.

The beach is not there all year around, depends on the season, sometimes it is just rocks, and no sand beach... depends on the season..just saying’

Is the water temp consistently warm throughout the year?

Yes! A bit chillier in the winter, 78 and warmer in the summer 81.

Felt like I was in a sea lion nature video trying to find space on that beach before covid had things shut down. Too crowded.

I remember when I was a kid and going to Kua Bay was the best. It was secluded, the only way to get there was through the keawe trees, rocky path with a 4 wheel drive truck and it was peaceful and untouched... Than people. Best way to ruin something is by spreading the word till it gets to someone who knows how to screw it up. It was better without the road that leads there, now its just filled with so much... sunscreen

They should encourage people to not wear sunscreen if they want to get in the water, to protect the natural environment.

Best beaches I know in Hawaii? Kua and Mauna Kea on the big island. Kapalua and Napili Bay right next to each other on Maui. Lanikai on Ohahu. This is not to sugget I know all of the island's beaches. I do not!

Its a beautiful beach but only about 100 yards rocks to rocks. Best from June to July because the waves the other months are rough. No shade. One local called it Hawaii's Caribbean beach. Correct! The water is clear with white sand again when there are few waves. This beach and Mauna Kea beach are the two best on the big island I think not that I know all of them because I do not. Cheers.
