The world as we know it is changing. Everything is becoming more advanced, and technology keeps advancing. So much so that even cities such as Dubai depend entirely on technology that they don’t even have any paper operations in their government.

Actually, KL is much bigger than 2 mil people. If you include greater KL, it's about 8 mil people and it's growing. As a Malaysian from KL, I really think Klang Valley has huge potential not just in ASEAN and but, whole of Asia. It's already the most liveable city in the world in the latest survey and continue to grow, due to huge economic growth.

@@linustw Population of Kajang already 1.05 million, the largest city in Selangor. The only reason Kajang wasn't a City yet maybe it's income still below $100 million. I doubt that, I suspect it has to do with Kajang demographic which is 60% Malay Muslim. They invented a reason to prevent another Malay majority City.

Thanks for your highlights about the major skyscrapers that our private/government owned companies are building in Kuala Lumpur but if you actually made a survey on Malaysians, not foreigners, you will get around 90% agree that these skyscrapers don't mean much of a significant for the economy UNLESS basic problems like traffic jams and flash floods are addressed. If you haven't know already, KL and other parts of Selangor(state near KL) are hit with serious floods after continuos 8 - 10 hours rain. Yes people might say it's just global climate change or this is an after effect of a typhoon in South China Sea but seriously we all locals know it's the irrigation and drainage system sucks and failed miserably. Worst still our federal and state governments are slow in responding to the flood issue. Don't get me wrong, we all are proud if Kuala Lumpur are getting these new towers and high tech stuff but you don't wanna get car flooded after a few hours of rain don't you.

There is nothing wrong with skyscrapers as more of the green parts of the city remain. All development in KL is concentrated in the old part of the city which contributes less to the economy. Apart from that, many cities within the Kuala Lumpur metro area are also being developed so that development is more even and not just concentrated in the city center. That's why KL has no air pollution problems and is always green.

Keep kl and its surrounding areas clean, unclog drains, free of rubbish, and overflow rubbish dumpsites. Ensure thugs, robbers, thieves etc are arrested, indicted or thrown into prison. Monitor and tight control of inflow traffic into KL centre especially during peak hours. Unfortunately, the plan by former transport minister years ago to emulate City of Singapore had met with much resistance from motorists and other road users.

In other words, pure utter chaos of city planning. I can vouch that if these high rise buildings were to come into fruition, it'll probably going to be one of the most depressing cities around the globe. KL is not just about the city center tallest buildings , which always been highlighted frequently. KL is more about it preservation of green , pleasing in the eyes and mind when you are down there driving or walking around .. because of this , KL is so spread out in various sub cities such as bukit Kiara, bukit damansara , bangsar , kota damansara , petaling jaya , puchong , sg besi , shah Alam , klang , bangi Sri kembangan . These are called greater KL . Unlike Singapore and some other cities , they concentrate all the buildings and one place , with almost no green to be seen . KL statistically has the most number of buildings in south east Asian , even though the city center may not be the largest .

If only KL is governed by Singapore's Meritocracy Governance >>> KL can be one of the Best City in South East Asia! Good Malaysians are really God Blessed & Talented People >>> Only being let down by their Outdated Race & Religion based Biased Governance that ladened with Cronyism & Corruption under the surface! Sad , Malaysia & Good Malaysians that Blessed by God to be Borned in Malaysia deserved Better , regardless of their Ethnicities , Faiths , Gender or Social Status! Daulat Tuanku! / Long Live the Royalty! 💖🇲🇾

dont think so. if we governed like singapore, then we'll be city wth no soul. & dont expect cheap price & smiling Malaysian faces. other that the bad side of governance, race n religion are the things that keep us together n having tolerence as we are today.

Da fack you're talking about Singapore's meritocracy governance? All around the world know SG is governed by strictly kiasu Chinese and mainland PR Chinese companies lolz. Where are all the SG Malays, Indian owned firms in that tiny island? Damn you sure act like a kettle calling the pot black. At least in Kuala Lumpur you can see many Chinese Malaysians owned firm with huge buildings belonged to them. Yeah how about that huh

More highways will not fix the problem. What we need is better public transport systems. More highway just means more places to jam

Most of my patient doesn't even know where Malaysia at lol They always asked where you from, I said Malaysia. They go, where is at. Then I had to explain, it's in South East Asia, close to Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia. Then they go Ooo... lol The one that know well, start to tell about their story in Vietnam war, or how they used to live and work in T'land, S'pore or M'sia.

yeah... when I was trying to learn english, I joined a group of english learners. they asked me where you're from, I told them I'm from Malaysia. welp, none of them had any idea where Malaysia is. but they did know where Indonesia and Singapore are. I found it shocking at first hahaha....

As local, nothing is fascinating in KL. It's damn packed, all these fancy buildings and places are just mainly for foreigners. Traffic here is horrifying, public transport isn't really that convenient. Everything is expensive here. Idk how people think that KL is a liveable city, it's more like a pain in the arse. Probably just a heaven for foreigners especially those with bigger currencies.
