Until June 1997 this was the mainline for transit freight from Norway and Sweden and freight for Sjaelland from Southern countries! The biggest freight trains that runs in Europe (besides of the "Jumbos" in Switzerland over Lötschberg) was running through this line from Copenhagen, and there are the trucks from Germany and the South of Europe coming this way too!! All this ended in 1997 with the opening of the connection to Fyn (Fuen)!!! So freight was sailed from Denmark to Germany and the other way from the beginning of this connection! It was called "the bird flight connection" or die Vogelfluglinie as the the route birds go when flying south in the Winter!! Before Storebaelt was opened there were ferries sailing there too! The Scarborough subway is unfinished, and the Gardiner Expressway is still under construction. The Ontario line is several billion dollars over budget, and they only just finished the first ten percent of the construction. Gridlock is now twenty-four hours a day with traffic taking several hours to advance one kilometre on the 413 highway that was supposed to cut travel time by one minute. Thanks to Hurricane Melissa which was stronger than Hurricane Hazel and lasted for an entire month with over 48" of rain being received during that time. most of the downtown core suffered catastrophic flooding since the green belt had had a sizable portion developed into parking lots and residential condominiums. Leaving all those billions of gallons of water to flow down to the lake instead of being absorbed by the greenbelt. This is another example of ignoring the environment to our detriment. The One condo at Bloor and Yonge has not been finished since it went bankrupt in 2023. Over half of the city's population (About one million people in the GTA) now lives in shelters or on the street permanently and is receiving social assistance.

Dallas is growing but not in a good way. I lived here all my life and I can tell you its not the same. Its gotten worse in many ways and will continue to get worse. Life was more easy to handle and more enjoyable to travel around town with less stress. now just driving on weekends feels like rush hour non stop. I hate it.

Why is East Solano Plan not accepting comments on their posts? Their posts state millions of gallons of water are being wasted on people who have invested money on farms. These are only sections of this land that are irrigated. Most of the land is used for grazing and uses rain for watering. The only people 'needing' this city are the people from the bay area. Solano county has had so many businesses close. Look at the Solano Mall. I don't understand how the investors think their businesses will fair any better. My vote is "NO".
