How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a KZfaq channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin.
Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like.
These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Ryan, I have to admit --- Tucker did superb for the first time on KZfaq. You may have some competition there! Great review. I never realized how great Kuhn was as far as that monitor display! I will put that on my wish list for next year! Hope they are available in 2021. Thumbs up.

Kuhn is basically an extension of Deere at this point so it shouldn't be to hard

I'm sure he will love a baler that is not breaking down several times a season, no matter what colour, the newness will have him sold lol, I'm sure he will pretend that he still loves his machine better lol Might want another bale carrier now, Over here in the UK a lot of farmers use converted old semi flatbed trailers, they get plenty on them. Just need a drawbar fitting to get going.

Very informative video! Thanks. Very similar to our 2160. The method of sliding the netwrap roles in is a great idea although you would need a leafblower to get rid of dust before the role slides into place. The base design of that machine is tried and tested. Our 2160 machine is very reliable having done 31,000 bales so far.

looks like Kuhn has been studying Krone bailers pretty closely , got the same features as Krone

@@trossponsor9077 if you open the door of a krone 1250 and look inside it looks very similar .......same 3 roller setup .......knives look very similar .........krone uses chain and slat on that model kuhn uses belts ..........

I am curious about their current dealer network? I know that they have a lot of dealers, but how many of them are going to push the Kuhn baler over their main brand ( Deere, CNH, Kubota, etc...)? New Holland and Deere dealerships that sell Kuhn aren't going to push these and risk hurting their market share.

Nice-looking Baylor very impressive on how fast the rear gate opens and closes, you going to be putting the 4640 on the kuhn and the 7600 goes on the John Deere, love to see that video

It is a Hay BALER - Baylor is a University and a Family Name. It bales, not bails or bayls, hay.

Hopefully it is as nice as the John Deere monitor, because those monitors are nice! Very simple to use. Will you guys use the variable core since you use pallet forks to pick up bales usually.

Which of the three settings (modes) do you select for corn fodder? Travis wants to know! If your going to make the change it has to stand up to true worst case and that has to be fodder! sdh in CT

Looks a good baler hope it's just as good as there power harrows and ploughs. Don't think balers have advanced much in the last 10years though ( within one maker that is) 🙄 😆 can't wait for the comparison between your balers though should be interesting 😉 keep safe and please talk to one and other if your feeling more stressed than usual. 🏴

Very robust Baler gauge wheel frame looks heavy duty and heavy duty chains and lubrication is a breeze. Has a lot of standard equipped that other brands are options.

As was stated at the beginning of the video Kuhn has nine of those balers being demoed in the US. Manufactures like to have there new equipment demoed on popular channels such as this one. Ryan demos a lot of equipment, believe this is his second baler, and very rarely does it lead to a buy.

all balers have a tap on the ram where the pipe enters ......you simply turn the tap to lock the ram ...........
