Number 4 is the best, fastest, and easiest knot to tie with gloves on, in the cold weather we get up here in Canada. Great vid! Really enjoyed it!

Palomar knot the most underrated and under used knot. Never fails and its so simple. You can wrap twice for a double palomar but you won't need to.

Good luck with using it. I lost 2 good basses on it, I never used it again. 4th is the best here. I got swivel snapped, but the knot stayed! That was the ultimate proof its good

First knot is the worst of all knot, especially on > 10lbs fishing line it always failed at knot! My recommendation for ultralight lines is trilene knot and palomar knot for medium/ heavy line/ braided fishing line! I caught many 20lbs giant barb using 8lbs line and 10lbs leader with those 2 knots and they rarely failed at knots!

I'm a fisherman myself, i don't get all fancy with my knots. Basic knots plain and simple, and still catch... Never had any problems..

Exactly. A figure eight knot and a uni knot will cover about 90% of what you need. They're simple, quick to tie, and strong. About the only time I don't use one of those two is when I'm snelling my hooks.

number 4 is the palomar knot which i think is the toughest and best one to use. prefer and probably recommend that knot on braided line.

저도 매듭 연습 좀 해야겠네요 ㅋㅋㅋ 오늘 아버지랑 수로권 출조해서 전 루어 하고 아버지는 찌올림하시다가 입질없으니 한번만 던져본다고 하시다가 가물치 걸었는데 오다가 매듭이 뚝 터지더라구요ㅜ

Excellent Video. I use a Uni-knot for most of all my knots (which is not shown here). The Palomar knot (demonstrated in the last vid) is very strong and I use to attach hooks. Other than that, the Loop knot for jigs.

I think the most useful knot would be number 3. Means you should be able to remove the swivel fairly easily and replace it with another/something else.

I use a variation of 3 but just a single knot twice and have bin for over 20 years. And never broke even with 30 pound pike. Dont overcomplicate your life with fancy knots.

Первый способ впервые вижу. Обычно 3-й и 4-й использую для вертлюгов. Хотя название ролика не соответствует показанному. В ролике не лески связывают, а вертлюжки привязывают...☺

I've been using the same knot since five years of age. I'm nearly 60 now. The one item I always do however, is lick the line. No slippage or burning of mono.

For me, number 3 is the simplest of the bunch. A simple slip knot which you can easily change out and reuse. Quick, easy and strong. Been using it for 40+ years and it's never failed me.

Number 3 is a Surgeons loop , a double overhand knot , you can tie braid like that and add the swivel . It won’t pull out . Don’t tie those monofilament knots like the way it is tied in the video , you have to moisten them with water or saliva or else they get compromised.

#4 is a palomar knot. It's strong and easy to tie in the wind.

Palomar (#4) is my favorite knot when I can use it. Also like the uniknot when Palomar can't be used, i.e. when the knot isn't at the very end of a rig with multiple parts.
