Desde que el año pasado os dejé la receta para el clásico Kulich de Pascua, estaba deseando dejaros otra versión de esta elaboración más actualizada o modernizada. El famoso Kulich Cruffin que podría definirse como un híbrido entre el Kulich y el Cruffin.
Ciertamente, esta elaboración, es básicamente la misma masa del Kulich que os dejé el año pasado, solo que el formato final de presentación es muy diferente. En lugar de bolear una pieza e introducirla dentro de un molde para cocerla, lo que haremos será formarla del mismo modo que se forma un cruffin para, posteriormente, introducirla en un molde y cocerla.
Voy a dejaros dos formados para llevarlo a cabo, el clásico que imita el formado del cruffin y, por otro lado, otra opción en la que trenzaremos la masa para dar lugar a una pieza redonda.
Este Kulich Cruffin de Pascua combina la masa del tradicional Kulich junto con la técnica de formado del cruffin. Producto que a su vez es un híbrido de croissant y muffin, es decir, una masa que se destinaría para hacer un croissant, pero que se enrolla sobre sí misma y coloca en una bandeja de muffins para hornearse. El resultado es una masa que, como comentaba más arriba, puede recordarnos al babka puesto que para lograr ese aspecto "laminado", se hace uso de mantequilla, azúcar y especias (si se desea), además de frutas secas.

Since last year I left you the recipe for the classic Easter Kulich, I was eager to leave you another version of this elaboration more updated or modernized. The famous Easter Kulich Cruffin that could be defined as a hybrid between Kulich and Cruffin.
Certainly, this elaboration is basically the same dough of the Kulich that I left you last year, only that the final format of presentation is very different. Instead of shaping a piece and placing into a mold to bake it, what we will do is to shape it in the same way a cruffin is shaped and then put into a mold and bake it.
I am going to give you two ways to do it, the classic one that imitates the cruffin shape and, on the other hand, another option in which we will braid the dough to make a round piece.
This Easter Kulich Cruffin combines the traditional Kulich dough with the cruffin forming technique. A product that in turn is a hybrid of croissant and muffin, that is, a dough that would be intended to make a croissant, but that is rolled on itself and placed in a muffin pan to bake. The result is a dough that, as I mentioned above, may remind us of babka since to achieve that "laminated" look, butter, sugar and spices (if desired) are used, as well as dried fruits.
