The thought of Saturn getting just blown apart by Kuma, healing and calling him silly of all possible words in response is giving me some real Venture Bros. vibes, Tekking. Not sure if that was what you were going for, but the way you describe things can really point some pretty vivid pictures, dude.

There's actually been 2 flashbacks in Egghead arc so far. Kuma/Bonney's flashback is not the only one that was shown here, because don't forget there was a Reverie flashback too. It took place before Oda took his eye surgery break. That's a majorly important flashback.

The Straw Hats going to Elbaf works really well for after this arc, when you consider that they'd need a safe area to go to after what they pull off here (especially if they get Saturn killed!). It's not just the land of the giants, but also Shanks' territory. It could mean the gang recruits the giants in the war to come.

In Chapter 1067 at the end of the chapter Lucci literally says to terminate Bonney cause she has served her purpose right in front of S-bear, the one Lucci said has been a problem child (Chapter 1062). Next panel, Kuma flees Kamabakka Queendom. Lineage Factor/Punk Records. Could Kuma hear the same convo as S-Bear causing the last remaining parts of Kuma to react and force his body to Egghead to protect her from Imminent Danger.

Correct me anyone if im wrong but, isnt Kuma using haki a 100% proof that his will is still alive? i think its not just parental instinct or any tinkering done by vegapunk, he's just alive by sheer willpower even after the operation.

I still think it was very deliberate on Oda's part that Kuma activated and started running exactly one page after Lucci said that Bonney has become a nuisance and they should just eliminate her on sight. To be fair, this could just be a thematic parallel to show that Kuma always does whatever he can to protect Bonney rather than a hint at an actual plot point.

I like to think when Bonnie was in the warm Eddie that's when Kuma left. She was in danger with no chance of being saved until the always unexpected strawhats saved the day

There is a quote that I think goes really well with the situation with Kuma "the mind may forget but the body remembers". I think that works perfectly for the way Kuma reacts to bonney. he that since's bonney in danger and his body insteadly reacts to save. It could be cool if it worked like that

Theory: Kuma went to Marijoies to get heavily damaged so he can pass that damage onto Saturn

Maybe Kuma asked Vegapunk to program a failsafe into him that overrides the command structure if the Gorosei ever broke their arrangement to keep Bonney safe, just as the Gorosei installed the bomb to kill Kuma if he broke their arrangement. And Cipher Pol attempting to assassinate Bonney at the orders of the WG triggered that. Keep in mind, the Marines have gone out of their way not to harm Bonney in prior scenarios (Kizaru never goes after her at Seabody, Akainu personally recovers her from the BB Pirates). I mean, why would Akainu of all people not take the opportunity to kill one of the Worst Generation at that time, unless he was ordered to keep her alive and unharmed.

I feel like the Blackbeard pirates that are at Egghead might be waiting for their opportunity to steal Kuma's fruit .

Syv has a theory and I really like one part of it, maybe Kuma is somehow connected to s-bear and heard what lucci said about attacking Bonney and someway it doesn’t take from the “paternal instinct” or is it a special feature programmed just to protect her and since the chapters seem to lineup it could be a reason instead of Kuma just out of the blue, from miles away, sensing that Bonney’s in danger

I don't think Vivi will be the one to eat/get the Paw Paw Fruit. It'll be cool if she did, I like Vivi, but it suit Sentamaru more considering how he fights. That said, I have this sneaky suspicion something will happen to devil fruits for them to stop existing. Since they keep reincarnating and freedom is the central theme of this story, continuous reincarnation should only happen until the goal is reach, which I think is taking down the current government. Like that theory that Imu is the sea (umi), and since the fruits are hated by the sea, I think fruits came to existence thanks to people's desired to be free from their situation, but since the government won, people kept dying and their wills (and fruits) kept coming back. Luffy is a great example: he's not a rubber boy, he's the current Joyboy! After he achieves his dream, he'd want to be Luffy, not Joyboy (also keep in mind he says multiple times he doesn't want to be a hero, and I believe Joyboy and the Sun God were heroes to many people).

What if he used the paw fruit at some point ? He could really damage Saturn with all the pain he accumulated and anguish he felt all those years. Or, my own personal theory I made when Kuma reached the Red Line : Saturn gets pawed right into it, leaving a dent in the shape of a weird looking spider and being symbolically the first step to destroying it.

I was re reading Egghead, just to see it all from where the story currently is. When Bonny turns Luffy into an old man, it says (in a different future). We assumed that it was "bad future" luffy. could it be because of how Bonny's power works, she aged the goofy kid into a goofy old man like Doctor Vegapunk? She imagined Luffy would look Vegapunkish in his old age, and that's the alternative future?

While the brain is the dominant nerve organ, it isn't the only one. Some animals like the chicken can still run around with it's head cut off. In our world the central nervous system is defined as the brain and the spinal cord. If Vegapunk only modified the brain in his experiments it makes sense that a person's or an animal instincts still persist in the other parts.

I still think the memory bubble bonney touched has something to do with it, iirc he said that the bubbles always come back unless absorbed, and that the memory bubble was different like making copies. I think bonney touched the bubble and kuma regained his memories,

There are two parts to this mystery. How did Kuma disobey his commands? And how did he know Bonney was here? While clever One Piece theorists have surmised that it was most likely because he's connected to the other Pacifistas that he showed up here, that doesn't explain his autonomy. I don't think it's merely his protective spirit, although there's probably an element of that. I think we already saw the exchange which led to Kuma's release. Shanks, using his authority as a God's Knight, had Kuma's authority chip transferred to the God's Knights in his meeting with the Gorosei. And then Shanks freed Kuma. Shanks has been a God's Knight and an under-cover Revolutionary this entire time, and I'd be willing to bet Garling is in on it as well.

Maybe Kuma being activated was related to that warm eddy?
