Kunal Shah speaks from a perspective which majority of the Indians may not find it cool but thanks Ranveer for bringing such pragmatic personalities on your podcasts! These podcasts will be revolutionary. I personally watch only few videos on YT each week but your podcasts are one thing which I rarely miss. More power to you💪

Notes of the whole podcast in small bullet points : - Meet people smarter than you to be smart - Always be visionary - The people who take risks will make things for people who don't want to take risk - If you are doing something that you don't love then only you think about work-life balance - Being at home all time can make you knowledgeable but not smart. Hanging out with smart people physically is important. - People are creating and doing great don't hate others. - The participation of females is insanely important to make the country prosperous. - When both genders do work then they have to hire people for other works (eg. household works) and it can create up to 10 jobs. - You can't be rich/smart by just watching/listening to content. The balance of consuming and doing is very much important. - To make the country prosperous we have to see what others countries are doing. - We have to improve our relationship with money by getting financial literacy from childhood. - Mathematically evaluate the value of time in your life. - Scheduling your time is important. - Encourage skills not degrees. - Love yourself no matter what doesn't mean that don't criticize yourself. Self-criticism is important for self-growth. - Doing thought experiments is the fastest way to become smarter. - The skills divide is happening among the people causing the income divide. - As a country, we have to care for wealthy people so they do not leave the country. - Dedicate most of your time to valuable work and decisions. - Observe others and make notes.

Speaking from a point of view a “teenage dependent girl” who really wants to develop skills in herself but the old mindset of her parents don’t want her to explore or develop those skills because they feel that these skills are rubbish and won’t really help her to grow. This mindset we have to change to grow ourselves as well as the country, to be able to develop and be prosperous as the other developed countries. This podcast is everything ❤️.

Just 26 minutes into the video, already heard new perspective about various things 1. You're not gonna get any smarter living with your parents. Get back to city from your hometowns. WFH though has given us the flexibility and time. But the things you learn in WFO can never be replaced, being from a CS background, i miss those technical discussions where you get to learn a lot from your seniors. Now even a two minutes discussion that could be done while on the way to pantry to grab a coffee, requires to schedule a meeting. 2. China one child policy: Because of this society has lost it's gender. It doesn't really matter if you're a boy/girl you have to pay the same bills. This is need of the hour in India.

Otherwise if you have a solid plan about something else, entrepreneurship or skill learning oru whatever, then you are probably better off not going.

Our society always respected entrepreneurs. I am sure as a Gujarati he knows that. 1000 years of invasions and colonialism has changed our thought process which has made us risk averse. Context is key, even though he talks about grey in shows and content...his own views sound a lot more black and white.

Every single country on this planet has been invaded by either colonial entities, feudal neighbours or usurped by cruel dictators who lead them to doom. Many of those nations like China, Bangladesh, Brazil, Germany etc. are doing very well and haven't used history as an excuse to play subtle blame games. India itself had tremendous economic boom through industrial liberalisation up until 2007. Our Colonial past may explain a lot of what we need to fix and unlearn but it can no more be used as an excuse to justify poor economic performance.
@shahrags
@shahrags 3 жыл бұрын
@@cauliflowerhead2735 of course other countries too have gone through atrocities but no one has forgotten their past like how we have. We can only make our future better if we know our history. The fact is that our society was entrepreneurial. We just need to remember it and take inspiration from that rather than feeling bad about what we have turned in to due to thousands of years. Only if we are proud of our history, can we build a better future confidently.

I will not say that I liked everything said by Kunal. But this podcast actually makes you think about productivity and learning more skills. Key Takeaways from this podcast: 1. People who are costantly in Search of WLB are the ones who does not like their work. 2. If we want our nation to be prosperous we will need maximum women working. 3. Take atleast 30 mins everyday to learn something new and you will be better than 95%. Discalimer: If you are an advocate of Great Work Life Balance and 4 Days Work Week like stuff, dont watch this because you are not going to like Kunal's thoughts. Looking forward for TRS Hindi episode with Kunal.

You ask very subtle questions . Make him answer questions he would rather avoid having strong opinions about . Politics , religion, NPA crisis , very shrewd questions . Why are you in so much awe , ranveer. He is just a human being

An insightful podcast. But here's what I also think: Even though I agree with a lot ideas that Kunal discussed, aren't we relying on an entrepreneur to analyse how the world should work, which involves a lot of other variables, not just commerce and money?

One person can change the world by planting seeds of wisdom into the minds of the people. Mr Kunal Shah will definitely be a person who directly/indirectly planted the seeds into people's mind which a generation later will have a significant effect on the entire society.

Okay, here is the solution While listening to podcast make notes and then type those notes into notion (a free to use notes app) if you are active on twitter then you may make a thread on the podcast summarising it. And if you want to revise the podcast just look at your notes it's that simple. Moreover in each podcast there will a particular learning which you would not forget. This is how I remember.
