Kunekune Piglets Venture Outside!

9 ай бұрынThe Kunekune piglets are getting big quick and have finally started to venture out of the farrowing barn. They are all growing nicely and it is always enjoyable to watch them play and interact in their new environment outside of the farrowing barn.
It is also time to take our last batch of bielefelder and black austrolorp chicken out of the brooder and on to fresh grass. Follow along today to check all the animals out!

My 2 kunekunes are 3yo. Still rooting. Clearing some woods. I give my extra eggs away. I only have 7 hens. I agree that selling eggs is not worth it. I always learn something new from your videos. Keep'em coming. God Bless

Ok, we bought a few chick during the summer and they grew big. First eggs we got yesterday, surprise me. I didn’t know if I need to wash them are put it in the fridge.

If you don’t wash they can sit on the counter. If you wash the bloom off they need to be refrigerated

How long do you keep the heat lamp on for the piglets? Ours are a month old now, and I see that tbey still like sleeping under it.

I don’t think there is a set time. If they get to hot they will sleep some where else

I sell my eggs from home but I don't sell them to make money I just sell them cus if I didn't I wouldn't know what to do with them all I make sure my grandson has his eggs and my aunt gets hers but when your getting anywhere from 2-3 dozen a day it's hard not to sell them and I love the the piggies especially the tri's and banded
