This is a beetle from Egypt. Although it is small in size, it is ferocious. When it encounters a beautiful praying mantis, who is stronger?

@@justsomegamerwithoutmustache I don’t think it being faster matters. A praying mantis can snatch flies out of midair. Also once it snatches the beetle it won’t be able to escape, the arms of a praying mantis is just too powerful. Especially if it’s a hungry larger female mantis like a Desiccata or a Giant Asian. In the wild, the beetle wouldn’t even notice the praying mantis until it was too late and already getting eaten alive from its ass up to its head.

It's rare for anyone to see a Mantis running away from anything, it's a top predator within its own environment, so to see it run from a constant attack from the Warrior Beatle was quite a surprise. Can you imagine what kind of mini-beast the warrior would be if it had gripping front appendages like the Mantis, that would be an awesome and devastating predator, because it obviously doesn't know or show any instinctive fear around that Mantis whatsoever.

Actually mantids are very smart. They won't even try to attack creatures which they think is impossible to defeat. The mantis saw the armour of the beetle and immediately decided that it is pointless to attack. This is not at all surprising as beetle armour is extraordinarily hard. They are as hard as wooden chips

Egyptian predator Beetle. Warrior beetles look more like a miniature Sumatran stag. Compact and low to the ground. Either way great video Thank you

Camel spider is their weakness. It has massive, segmented jaws armed with rows of spiny teeth that turn these insects to pieces 😁
