The country they escaped to is the 3rd country that attracts the most tourists in the world and many people want to visit this place and it is a dream of many people. It is also a member of NATO and the Council of Europe. It is clearly stated in the constitution that no one can be treated like their religious opinion or ethnic origin. One thing I don’t understand about other ethnicities in the middle east, is this urge; to move to developed nations instead of building up the country. I am a turk and I will always be a turk, and i won’t go to saudi arabia or no france or not uae, or no qatar, or germany, just because life gets tough sometimes; I will stay here till i go. Why do they have to leave Turkey? The Kurdish territory in Turkey is economically progressing steadily. The Kurds who live there tell me these trouble making Kurds are not wanted at home. Japan needs migrant workers, too, as the young ones there don't want to engage in dirty, dangerous, and underpaid works such as house demolition and construction works. However, most of these foreign workers come illegally there with the help of fellow countrymen and assuming it's as easy as entering their neighbouring countries with similar cultural background. It's not true. Law and order is what the Japanese citizens respect and aspire to preserve.

Bro, first of all as a turk i need to explain the situation here. Some kurds who has turkish citizenship identify themselves as kurd but not türk and also joins Pkk, ypg etc. which is a terrorist organization who ambush and kill anyone kurd, türk, child, soldier, police civilian. They demand a country even they never had a one and they use sneaky brutal tactic against anyone but they have still turkish citizenship even they say opposite. So, if anyone call themselves türk or kürd in Japan but act violent acts then that person is from most likely pkk or ypg which is same.

Kurdish question in Turkey started as completely religious... Many Kurds in here will start propaganda words under these kind of videos but nationalism/independence or self rule was never goal of Kurds... Kurds in Ottoman Empire primarily worked under religious authorities. Sheik-ul Islam (Religious leader) was always from Kurdish tribes of East Anatolia. A lot of Imams, qadis were also from Kurdish tribes. Kurds requested similiar privileges from newly founded Turkish Republic as well but leadership of Turkey (including many Kurdish ethnic citizens and intellectuals) has different ideas for Turkey such as secularism. First problem with Kurdish leadership started once Turkish republic decided to abolution of Caliphate. Second issue started primarily economical. When Turkish leadership tried to point out why our people (either Turk or kurd or Lazs etc.) was way behind of our european rivals, leadership pointed out feudal system in our society never been broken. There were Aghas, rich land owners in almost all villages of Turkey and people living there was practically their subjects, slaves which now have rights under the law given to them by the government but they lack the economical freedom from their aghas. Government made land reform and took lands from those rich aghas which actually they stole it from state and give it to people. Aghas was not keen to loose their power but central government was effective removing any opposition in West and Central Anatolia but Eastern Anatolia lacks infastructure to swift actions by government. Grasp of Aghas to people was not able to broken easily and its still continues in one way or another. And thoese aghas when they see they will loose power organized the very people government tries to help against the government. Present day terrorist organization in Turkey considers these rebellions as Kurdish rebellion against oppressive government but those decisions was to free the people from their real oppressors. Religion and feudal leadership. When you use these retroprogressive events as your nation building you don't give any chance to your people to progress. Kurdish mentality remained in dark ages. It is not a surprise when they go to any place in the world they will create unrest. Just observe an ethnic Kurds settled in central or western Turkey around 40-50 years ago and ethnic Kurd immigrated to other countries or living in Iraq or Iran. You will see completely two different mindset. While some freed themselves from the illusions put in their front by their fellow Kurds and adapted the values of this generation, others are still living in dark ages.

Japan should have no other choice than accepting all these people, so that they can migrate and get an education and be a part of the people. like everywhere else. These a people fleeing from war to get a better future for their kids..

I only see one moron here, a moron that doesnt know shit about the world, otherwise you would have had the same opinion as me. Japan is a developed country and such countries should be willing to accept refugees and let them migrate. An example could be Europe. Generally speaking, the more wealthy the countries are, the better system they have in order to let them migrate and educate these ppl. Im from Denmark so i know what im talking about. Leaving them all alone in the other hand, wont do anything to help them, and theyll end up like this.

Pentagon1337 The kurdish majority are not muslims. A man who does not want to adjust to a certain place or society, does not learn the language and live according to society standards, which is what he is doing.

Yes the majority are not muslim, but there are kurdish muslims, and SO WHAT? Theres nothing wrong with them. In any case, they are not even getting the opportunity to migrate.. thats the problem.. They have to deal with everything by themselves without any support from the government, they are NOT EVEN being acceptet by the government.. How are they supposed to send their kids to school and make them learn the language?? No one is helping them financially to let their kids to go to school. They are struggling to earn enough money to make a living.

Rojvan, I'm talking to the other guy. Muslim or not, if a person comes to a new country and doesn't adjust, he is an idiot but that is not what this guy did. This man has adjusted and live by the japanese way even as a kurd not accepted by the government

I really admire Japan, but their insistence on homogeneity and harsh treatment of Kurds is unacceptable. I mean, weren't Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan defeated already?

why is the insistence on homogeneity unacceptable? Is Japanese homogeneity causing harm to anyone?

@Fuck KZfaq Success is subjective. We can all agree that countries like China, Russia, India, Mexico, and Brazil are successful in several ways (some more than others obviously), but they are not homogenous. I guess, Homogeneity works for Japan, but it places a ceiling on them...

You've got some balls to spit on Japanese homogeneity and demand them to become a multiculti shithole like the rest of the west. Japan is for the Japanese! Shut up, get out.

This report is uninformed. It has nothing to do with homogeneity. To the contrary Japan has been introducing new types of work visas for educated professionals, even fast-tracking visa and permanent residency applications for them. And Japanese universities have been seeking to increase the ratio of international students. Japan will grant refugee status or temporarily residency to asylum seekers who are seriously in danger at home, such as democratic activists from Myanmar, the Hazara leaders from Afghanistan, or Uyghur students from China. In reality most of the applicants are economic migrants claiming asylum, which is why they get rejected.
