- Earth Reformation, Geomancy Geomancy is the signature move of Xernease, that made it absolutely busted and made all of us competitive players wonder why the fuck they allowed such a broken ass move exist in the game. Anyways, rant aside. It boosts the user's Special Defense, Special Attack, and Speed by 2 stages, essentially doubling it, and causing massive damage everywhere while outspeeding everything. As for the Earth Reformation, I tried googling Geomancy and the best I can describe it is this; It is essentially the study of transcribing lines and dots that are in the Earth. Think of it as, reading what someone put down by throwing dirt and rocks in a specific pattern. - World Tree After a little bit more research, it turns out the XY legendaries are also based off of Norse mythology in their design and how they play a role for each other while taking Hindu ideologies. Yveltal and Xerneas are on top of the world tree, in Yggdrasil, whereas Zygarde is in Niflheim, or underworld/underground, and took inspiration from Nidhogg, or the dragon who gnaws at the world tree (maybe just taking that dragon form). In the games, you find Zygarde UNDERGROUND in a cave system by itself. I could be wrong, since I believe that it takes more inspiration from Hindu mythology/ideologies better opposing to Norse. - Rain Destruction from top Thousand Arrows is a signature move for Zygarde, it's a GROUND type move that HITS FLYING TYPES and makes them grounded and trapped for the entirety of Zygarde staying in. Taking the Norse mythology World Tree from before, it could mean that, despite being in the deepest parts of the universe, the attack will still hit and bring everyone down with him, keeping them trapped with him for eternity. - Ash gives life to the new "We" Zygarde is made up of cells. Yes, cells. As in, our blood cells. And Zygarde Complete is 100 of those cells together. The birth of these little shits are all over the world and are just born, like how a tree does when growing. Not only that, ashes from certain plants help the growth of trees and plants overall, hence the cells throwing faster and the "We" since it's a cluster coming together to make a singularity. Hope that made sense. - Land's Wrath, new Phoenix Land's Wrath is another signature move for Zygarde and is weaker than EQ, don't run it. As for the New Phoenix line, seeing that Yveltal is in the AMV when that is shown; it could mean that upon using the move, it awoke something inside of Yveltal to wake up and finally be part of the story, for maybe 20 seconds. And Yveltal awakening is something like a Phoenix, despite going down and taking everything down with it, it will rise again only to keep that cycle going indefinitely. - Soul, Oblivion, Wingless This right here is fucking amazing from Haztik. First, Core Destroyer is ANOTHER signature move for Zygarde which ignores abilities and deals damage, dragon type move. But also looks amazing and could also be a gun bar, hence the "Soul fly above". Doubtful since Yveltal takes lives as it turns into a cocoon in the air before dropping down to Earth, where Zygarde resides. So when Yveltal dies and takes the souls of everything with it in the sky, it could be referring to that. As for the Oblivion's Wingless. Yveltal s signature move is Oblivion Wing, a flying type move that deals damage and heals Yveltal for 75% of the damage dealt. Weak in comparison since it has 80 Base Power, and Yveltal is a little more of a physical attacker, but it's good nonetheless. Gen 7 - Sons, Radiant Phase Gun bar. Off the rip. Anyways, Radiant Sun Phase Solgaleo is an artwork made by Pokemon themselves. That's all the reference is. - Galileo find with naked eye Galileo, for those who don't remember, was a famous astronomer, among other things, and describing him here is basically saying, "Hey look at that. It's new" with no equipment needed. I think since I'm getting a headache after typing so much. - Solgaleo, Steel to your mind Solgaleo is a Steel/Psychic type Pokemon. So the flip here is amazing since it also a gun reference. Putting the steel (gun) to your mind (head) but also meaning, Solgaleo is a Steel/Psychic type Pokemon since his head has the cosmos in it. It's encased in steel. - Sunsetted, Greetings in due time, Batman, Moon Knight This is a wild guess but here's what I think. Any event taking place usually happens in the sunset, or starts at sunset, hence why the greetings come later or in due time. But there's also the Batman reference which is obvious. What isn't so obvious, however, is that Dawn Wings Necrozma somewhat resembles Batman due to the design, I guess. Also how Lunala is the moon Pokemon and moons only come out after the sun sets, hence the previous mention and line. But also the way how Mat4Yo pronounced that last line, he made Moon Knight sound like Moonlight, which is what Lunala's signature move is (more about that in a bit). With that in mind Batman, for the most part, is out during the night to stop criminals, or once the sun sets (get where that Sunsetted/greetings line came from?). With that, Moongeist Beam is Lunala's signature move that is like firing a beam of Moonlight to the opponent that hurts, since it is reflected sunlight basically. It's a web of references that I love and hope everyone understood. - Too bright when I loot light Yes. Necrozma absorbs light from all sources and turns into Ultra Necrozma, going through Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma first before doing so with the help of a Z Crystal. There's also a city when first encountering Necrozma in USUM since it absorbed all the light from that city to try and grow into Ultra Necrozma. - Nebby, Bag A meme going around for a little while about a Cosmog, named Nebby by Lillie in the games, always escaping the bag and never being inside of it since it evolves into one of the 2 legendaries. Gen 8 - Put wings on him Kill the dude multiple ways. Either beat him down with metal (brass knuckles (or shield in this case because Zamazenta)) or stab him (Zacian). - Shield up Zamazenta, shield. Obvious since it means to keep your guard up or raise your defense higher to take less damage - Dust off a Draco Zacian is part fairy type so it isn't affected by Draco Meteor, a dragon type move. Zamazenta is a literal wall of a Pokemon that tanks quite a bit and deals damage back, and being part steel, it resists Draco Meteor. But also Kevlar is a metal that resists bullets, hence the Draco reference and typical Ty Wild gun bar. - Lil Rust, Brang Steel Aside from the pure metals (gold, silver, platinum) not rusting, it could be a references how even with a minimal amount of rust, Ty wouldn't hesitate to beat you down/gun you down. He's still bringing that 40 - Crown Zacian and Zamazenta are considered kings, if I'm not mistaken, of the region since they protected the region from Eternatus and G-Max Eternatus. Also because Swords and Shield are often correlated to royalty and royalty includes Crowns. And "Aim up at your crown" is a way of saying, I'm aiming for the brain/head; since the rims of the crown rest around the forehead and head, around the frontal cortex and can cause serious damage to a person if that is damaged. Side note: As for gun Pokemon. There's a few, 1 was already pointed out. And that Mon is Remoraid. It's design looks eeriely similar to a gun, down to the Pokedex number. The only reason I know this is because if CTC's verse in the 2019 Pokemon Cypher by Shofu. Octillery is based off a SNIPER, not tank as other said, due to the mouth also resembling the barrel of a sniper as it's supported by it's abilities, one of which is literally called Sniper. - Arms out of the sky G-Max Eternatus reference. That's all it is. It's a literal fucking hand with a snek body as an arm that's coming out of the sky. - Keep one .45 with a beam Zapdos references as Zapdos is the 145th Pokemon in the Pokedex. Only reason I know this is because if Shizzy and Shofu making references to this mon countless times and even on the 2013 Pokemon Cypher: "Keep that 145 got that Zapdos" I think is what Shizzy said. Also, gun bar because it's Ty Wild. - Knock wind, Dragon, Toxic Eternatus is a Dragon/Poison type Pokemon, being one of the few dragons to be affected by ground type attacks, much less weak to it. Also referencing how Eternatus loses the flying typing for the unique Dragon/Poison type instead, which is shit. But also a ONE PIECE reference seeing how Magellan is the poison devil fruit user, I had to look that up since it seemed important. Oh and Toxic is a status move in Pokemon. - Cannon, Big Bad fall off Eternatus signature move is Dynamic Cannon and it deals dragon type damage and deals even MORE DAMAGE to a Pokemon who is dynamaxed. Hence the "Big Bad falling off" line. Also because Zacian and Zamazenta have their own respective moves, Behemoth Blade/Behemoth Bash respectively, for dynamax Pokemon as well. - Rose, Darkest day, Red flash Rose was the main antagonist in SwSh and his while plan was to destroy the region as he summoned Eternatus. I didn't read the dialogue well so there are plenty of holes with what I said. But basically, the entire sky turned red in a flash because Rose bitch ass wanted to end the world, bringing the darkest days. - Dynamax, Behemoth, Deadman As i said earlier, the dogs have Behemoth moves that deal extra damage to Dynamaxed Pokemon, leaving them dead/fainted. But also how D-max Pokemon grow bigger in size due to the energy coursing through them, hence the "dynamax, high as sky where they head at" bar, and it could also mean that his opposition is high as FUCK by challenging him. Being so high that Ty's opponent is on Cloud 9 thinking they could be Ty. The secondary reference to Ty's Behemoth, Deadman line there is probably how Ty isn't afraid to kill someone to prove his point in how strong he is, like how the dogs do against Dynamax Pokemon.
