Kurt Browning and Tara Lipinski - clown & La Valtz

12 жыл бұрын3 clown transitions from the 2000 Canadian Stars on Ice broadcast, and the same character going into La Valtz with Tara Lipinski.
Kurt did these transitions through both the US and Canadian tours that year, frequently changing them up and improvising with audience members. (One of the better ones was him asleep on the couch at the start of the "Club AC" number and mocking the skaters, but it was never broadcast.)

Mastery of ice skating! This is the skating I love to watch, I really don't have to see a program peppered with quads. They may get point points but they really don't touch the soul (except watching 2022 Nathan Chen)

I liked Nathan Chen but I too would rather see figure skating not jump skating, I actually liked Jason Browns skating at The Olympics more.

@@debbiem9005 And Tara Lipinski was overrated to win the 98 Olympics. Her artistry was far from Michelle's. She should go to the kid's Olympics with her Disney Cartoon program. Under the new system, Tara's technique wouldn't get marks. Tara's flip and lutz would be called out for under rotation today.

Kurt has this character dialed-- interesting to see him with Tara. They are both singles, but do the lifts, side by sides, beautiful!

@@chriscorbin6980 This performance much better than Tara did at 1998 Olympics. At 1998 Olympics, Tara was overrated because her performance just like a Disney cartoon, and Michelle was robbed. But here, Tara had beautiful and funny artistry , so lovely.

I felt sorry for the live audience when the camera zoomed in to show their facial expressions. We got better than a front row seat. While this program didn’t have all the jumps and spins we often see, the lifts and the humor more than made up for it. The “awkwardness” has got to be harder to do on skates than these two let on.

Cute, but I personally would have liked to have seen such strong skaters do more technically difficult maneuvers before 6 min. ..
