Wait, i knew it you can lure cops with breaking stuff and smashing civilian car. They say it in their radio. I always used this luring method.

Wow i am really surprised Kuru didnt know that if you hit many objects / traffic that you trigger the cops. I noticed this during normal gameplay. It was like i crashed into some shit and the Cops be like : "whoop whoop, this is unit ............." and i thought oh no not again i just want to do some races. This repeated some times and i saw the pattern.

I dont know if I was shit when I first played this game on my GameCube when I was like 6 but I remember that I would get the cops quickly cause I was hitting everything on the road, so it became obvious and it make sense that you would get the cops for that lol, I had to get good, to a point that I would count how many things I hit during a race and tried to keep it in the single digits

Wouldn't doing cost to state damage make cops spawn once more incase you lose them since it spawns them in the first place when you're racing?

Something I’ve always wondered. Does the “lap glitch” work on sprint and tollbooth and speedtrap events? Would it be worth it to go into those events and turn off the traffic and fully optimize your racing line for the few seconds it would take to perform that menuing?

How? Lap glitch is to cut lapped races to 1 but those races do not have laps

@@zef9151yeah, do all the same menu movements for the lap glitch where they set the traffic to none but also do it for the sprints and speedtraps to ensure the optimal racing line is always available.

@@styles234 You can do it but I think gambling rng should be much faster that navigating through menu every single time. Not worth the hassle imo

@@zef9151I wouldn’t make a special trip to the menu for it. But if you’re in there anyway doing the lap glitch already, why not take 5 seconds and remove it for the other ones too. When any traffic hit has to hurt at least 2-3 seconds.

I watched this whole thing and i personally don't like how he is switching golf with elise because of time loss but could we do it without switching if we get insanely lucky on cop chase. And to be fair both of them are skilled equal but it is about the cop chase where the speedruner gets tons of rhino so he saved the time instead of a 6 min run

Well, to be fair, you do need to be good with the Elise to work out the difference. But no, in general, keeping the Golf is not worth it. The Elise is just that much faster in the remainder of the run.

As we know, the elise is the lightest car in the game. It's mass is 861. The heaviest car in the game is the Mercedes SL65AMG. That one you get from 100%'ing the challenge series. The heaviest car that's able to be bought from the car lot is the DB9 at 1710 mass. You're probably wondering where the clk lands, here's a list: Mercedes SL65AMG - 1950 Aston Martin DB9 - 1710 Mercedes slr mclaren - 1700 Pontiac GTO - 1693 Vauxhall Monaro - 1693 Lamborghini Murcielago - 1653 Mazda Rx8 - 1631 Mercedes CLK 500 - 1629 Lamborghini Gallardo - 1614 Weird right? Who knew the Rx8 was heavier than the clk. Edit: the comment in chat @ 19:36 guessing the cadilac was close, it's 1595. Then it's the supra with 1593 mass then the porsche 911 turbo & Mercedes SL500 at 1590. Edit 2: the comment @ 20:31 said accidentally the wrong car. The game files names cam be a bit confusing. Their file names are clk500, sl500, sl65, slr. Easy to mess up.

why does the game have to be locked at 60/64fps back in the day you used to play unlocked fps and everything was fine i wonder what actually changes in the game

not really back in the day a lot of games was 60fps locked by engine - unlocking it would destroy the engine the only games that was unlocked were multiplayer games like cs or quake, not single player nfs

game can run at 100 fps, but 60,61,64Fps fps limit looks more smooth because the frame pacing (google it) is terrible. basically less fps are more smooth in this game
