On December 12, 1994, WTSP became a CBS affiliate while WFTS affiliated with ABC and WTVT joined Fox. The first CBS program to actually air on WTSP was The Price is Right, which moved to the station on September 12 after WTVT dropped it and CBS This Morning for an expanded morning newscast.

It was same chimes new Channel in 1995, when KUSA-TV Channel 9 became NBC after its switch from ABC in Denver, as TV's got a who new attitude in a 3 station big switch unlike Phoenix, where their sister station KPNX-TV stayed with NBC which was unaffected by those switches of the 4 other stations in Phoenix, KPNX-TV Channel 12 is from its city of license in Mesa, Arizona.

He was on at 11:37 PM on KCNC & 12:05 AM on KUSA because KUSA Kept Cheers as a hold over from it's ABC days, this practice of pushing back late night would last until August of 2005 when they finally started to air NBC Late Night as it was intended to air at NBC's request.

Paul A TV stations kept some shows on the same channel and there was one station in Dallas TX that became a Fox affiliate that never showed Fox Kids programming. That was due to KDAF still being obligated to carry Fox Kids. KDFW is the Fox station that never showed Fox Kids programs.

Actually a lot of fox affiliates chose only to put on the bare minimum 3 hours of E/I programming a week. As for Fox Kids, it actually was syndicated. In fact WBNX-TV in Akron was the largest kids' club at the time showing both Kids' WB and Fox Kids.

This switch also affected Salt Lake City viewers, as KUTV became a CBS affiliate and KSL became an NBC affiliate on that day. I wonder if anyone has any local footage from that big network switch.

KTVT became a CBS affiliate in May of 1995 so this was before KUSA became NBC.

WRAL is about to do the same thing on February 29, 2016. This video you're watching now will show you the suggestion you should follow however.

+Kevin Piland I also discovered that Adele Arakawa also worked at WRAL TV when they became CBS in 1985. She is one reporter who has been on ABC NBC and CBS at different times with NBC being the longest.

I got to see the video afterwards where Dan Rather was featured back when he was on the CBS Evening News. I have to admit it brings back memories and there was one show I never heard of before as a kid and it was called The Other Side.

Tamaslammer She even covered both switch affiliation stories at both WRAL and KUSA when WRAL switched to CBS after previously being an ABC station. KUSA was also an ABC station when she covered the same subject at KUSA.
