Experiment : nitric acid vs lock
I just conduct an experiment to show you how nitric acid can dissolve copper from inside of a door lock and convert into coper sulfate.
I just use a locked lock for this demonstration and in result the indian lock was opened
Warning : this video is truly for educational and experimental purposes only don't try to repeat or recreate any action shown in this video.

For those who are asking why the thread was unharmed : HNO3 - H+ + NO3- ( nitric acid is HNO3 It dissociate into H+ ions and NO3- ions.) The H+ ions attack metal because metal has lot of free electrons having - ve charge. But thread is insulator hence very few electrons therefore remains unharmed ✌✌✌
