In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil talks about the mystery surrounding the death of Lal Bahadur Shastri. After the end of 1965 war Prime minister Lala Bahadur Shastri went to Tashkent for a peace talk with Pakistan. General Ayub khan was also present there. After signing the peace agreement, on the night of 11 January 1966, there was sudden news that he had died of a heart attack. However, the mystery regarding his suspicious death remains to date. Shastri Ji’s Family including her wife Lalita raised questions over his death. The blue hue over his body was suspected to be due to a possible poison dose. In 2009, In a reply to a RTI application government refused to disclose the classified documents related to the death of Shastri. No post mortem report is available. Hence the exact cause of Death is still marred in conspiracy theories and speculations. Was Shastri Poisoned? What were the circumstances around his death? Why the investigation report never got released?

मुझे बहुत बहुत अफसोस है कि शास्त्री जीपत्नी को साथ क्यों नहीं ले गए? प्रधानमंत्री के अगल बगल के कमरे में ही उनके डॉक्टर, निजी सचिव,सलाहकार, विश्वास पात्र को होना चाहिए। लेकिन एक रूसी महिला कुलदीप नैयर को सूचना दी वह भी बड़े अशिष्ट शब्दोंमें।रूसी प्रधानमंत्री किसकी सूचना पर पहुँचे।?यह बहुत बड़ा षड़यंत्र है।

अफसोस तो यह है लल्लनटॉप जो अपने आप को सुपर न्यूज़ चैनल समझता है यह स्वयं कांग्रेस का भोपू है दीनदयाल जी की हत्या को यह बड़ी आसानी से अटल बिहारी बाजपेई से जोड़कर उन्हें अपराधी घोषित करने का प्रयास करता है वही शास्त्री जी की हत्या को सफाई से पेश करते हुए मुख्य अपराधियों को को छुपाकर कांग्रेस को क्लीन चिट दे देता है सुभाष चंद्र बोस के बारे में भी यह इसी तरह से सफाई से घुमाकर काग्रेस को क्लीन चिट दे देता है जबकिनेता जी के मामले में नेहरू और शास्त्री जी के मामले में इंदिरा गांधी पूरी तरह से संदिग्ध है # बेटे तेरा भी फैसला बहुत जल्दी होगा #

It was a natural death yaar if not then why Congress government not allowed for postmortem. One simple question why someones killed him after he signed that agreement?
