Reading books written by pseudo defense analysts doesn't define facts needed for winning war. War is won with morale, strategy and emotion needed to fight for a cause a soldier believes in. 1965 war was won by a defiant and brave Lt General Harbaksh Singh who defied then army chief and refused to retreat despite facing much advanced Paton Tanks of Pakistan with Old Centurian Tanks. Harbaksh Singh had strategy and more than strategy he had strong emotion to defend his place of faith Amritsar. Thanks for not mentioning real hero's name but it will not change facts, it may change perception but perceptions work in politics not in war zone.

We should not play defensive. In 70 years Pakistan imposed 4 wars we had managed to counter these wars but how many times we will counter Pakistan by Defensive mode. We should keep in Mind what Happened to Prithviraj Chauhan.
