Good content Dada. However, most of the shops in India does not allow customer to do research on labels. They want people to come, tell the brand and size, pay the price and leave the counter with the bottle. When we will have all wine stores in departmental store format, then we will be able to give more time on each of the products and gather information to make an informed choice.

Valuable information shared. Most Indian whiskies are dicey. The quality varies from batch-to-batch, particularly the ones which cost up to Rs. 1200 for 750 ml. The consistent quality, aroma and flavour whiskies start from Rs. 2200, but now we are just touching Scotch in some states. Liquor policy in India for that matter is terrible and disappointing with so much variation. Only Goa is Golden Heaven.

Safest to go by scotch whisky bottled in scotland or irish whiskey.indian single malts cost more than some scotch single malts....fssai is very lax about whisky/ liquor ....how do they allow artificial flavour,artificial colour and ENA.,molasses...rather we have No whisky standards ....worth mentioning....
