Dude, we're kinda low-key winning the Soto trade for ourselves. King, Cease, Vasquez and Higgy have all helped us stay in the WC race, and we're better than we were last year with Soto. And here's Kyle throwing out runners and getting meaningful homers.

I'm thoroughly convincing myself (maybe stockholm at this point) that if Profar was on the team earlier in 2023 the Padres would have made a run.
@rayfinkle93699 күн бұрын
@@Pain-rk7hu Quite possible, we only lost by 2 games. Also just noticed. This month: Higgy 7 HR, Soto 4 HR 😎

I really like both of these guys. Not just that they both had an insane game today. Their demeanor and team attitude is what the Padre's need

Why does the skipper even put Cosgrove in? He's no bueno.
@NACHTY19 күн бұрын
Padres had an 8 run lead. You bring in Cosgrove, just like they brought in Matsui earlier, to build these guys up. Hang with 'em. You can't just keep throwing your best (Estrada/Suarez) everyday or they'll break down. With an 8-run lead, you could have sent anyone out there. Shildt managed within the game flow and there should be no issue pitching Cos there. 10/10 would do again.
