This is literally my childhood. when I was like 8 years old I would draw concepts for world of goo 2 because I always wanted more of it.

Watched the trailer with a huge silly grin on my face. This feels like meeting a good friend you haven’t seen in a decade and sliding right back into a conversation as if nothing happened. This feels like home.

i feel so silly but as soon as this trailer started and I realized what was happening I started tearing up, i never in my life thought there would be a sequel. this is the happiest a game announcement has ever made me. I cant wait. edit: even the soundtrack sounds so amazing, the original games music is one of my favorite parts of it, Im so excited to hear new world of goo music

The Tomorrow Corporation makes such incredibly interesting world concepts and has some super compelling ideas around art direction and story. It’s honestly criminal how they’re not a thousand times more popular than they are

I was excited for world of goo 2 in may 23rd, but today I realized they moved it to Aug 2nd. My heart sank for a bit 😭.

A sequel 15 years later? This doesn't feel real. World Of Goo was a huge part of my childhood and i still often listen to the soundtrack to it. Probably gonna be my most anticipated game of 2024.

It might have been the first game I ever obsessed over. This feels absolutely surreal. It really has been 15 years since then, huh? I'm graduated from college now. Thank you for everything, 2D Boy and Tomorrow Corporation. I am beyond excited to visit this new world.

I'm legitimately shocked. I played world of goo many many many years ago as a young kid and it was my favorite game. I just recently came back to it and I really got to appreciate the OST, the story, and so many of the gameplay mechanics that made the game so incredible. Seeing this trailer made me jump out of my seat. Hearing that reprise of the main song in the trailer was absolutely insane. The thought that I was hearing a nostalgic song in new light while knowing theres even more to come was incredible. I can already see that this is a sequel and that they're referencing the original game quite a lot which is amazing. (I saw the lady turned into a communication tower which confirms that theory) I would love to see the digital chapter referenced too... that was by far my favorite art-style and OST. Overture 98 was the best song in the whole original game. Thank you everyone working on World of Goo 2 and I CANT wait to play it.

I got actual chills from this trailer. World of Goo was my favorite WiiWare game of all time and it's awesome to see it come back with the amazing music and everything.

One of my earliest memories is playing this game with my mom at 2 years old and getting the OCD for the level leap hole. it's been 13 years since then and i never stopped playing this game. i remember scrawling ideas for worlds and ball types in my notebooks as a kid, i've explored every nook and cranny of every level, i've practiced for hours into the night to get a couple more balls on levels where it shouldn't be possible to, and today i was lurking on the goofans forums and randomly found someone say there was a world of goo 2 trailer and link it. i thought it was going to be a meme or something but... i don't even know what to say. i am actually in shock. you're making dreams come true, kyle.

I remember playing this game in 2010 on my old school laptop, and when I showed my teacher the game he liked it so much that he instructed the whole class to get it! I still have the game on my phone and it gets mentioned regularly still to this day by the old classmates I still have contact with because it was their favorite game at the time!😂 Genuine masterpiece. I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for the sequel and I'll be getting it the *splitsecond* it releases!

I was all over the first one when it released when I was a teenager. Not just because of what it was, but also because of what it meant for the future of video games. The idea that it was possible to make games outside the circuit of established developers, free to let your imagination run wild in directions never seen before was very powerful for me at the time. The first part of World of Goo is one of my favorite indie games I've ever played. I still listen to the soundtrack from the first part and consider it one of the best. The announcement of the second part just shocked me. I will be buying the game as soon as it comes out.

As i got older, i appreciated everything about the game's world and story more and more, and realized just what a treasure the original was. Now, a sequel? A DIRECT sequel? I'm over the moon. How will you amuse, yet terrify us? What bangers will be on the soundtrack this time? Will there be a Sign Painter? Cant wait!

Words cannot describe the rush of nostalgia and excitement in the moment where I realized what this was. I was very half-mindedly glancing at the game awards while setting up for a D&D session, and the second my eyes glanced over and saw a goo ball, my heart was so indescribably happy. Seeing 2D Boy pop up, hearing a remix of a song from my young childhood. My little brother has autism and had a hyperfixation on World of Goo for like 2 full years when we were in elementary school, and lemme tell you my excitement was nothing compared to the look on his face. No way, is one of my favorite childhood games of all time getting a *SEQUEL?!* This has to be the most warranted continuation to a game, _of all time._ I am beyond happy, beyond hyped and beyond excited. I'm sure it's not going to disappoint! All the new mechanics that this trailer features and many more that *could* make it in and get added, and the potential of them all seems LIMITLESS! The flowing goo and the cannons that were showcased here ESPECIALLY are looking to be absolutely amazing, and all the environments and creatures are fabulous as well! Will definitely pick this up once it's out. This is something I never really expected to happen but something I definitely unbelievably glad got a chance to actually exist. I genuinely indeed CAN'T believe it's been 15 years!

This game kept me company during my first divorce back in 2009. The art style, music, game mechanics all come together to make one of the most macabre and beautiful game experiences ever. I'm so excited for part 2.

I was 5 when I first watched my father playing WOG on our first PC. I'm so happy to see this game would have a continuation, I hoped it would all those years. Thank you for your work, Kyle!

Nice. This is the game I rewrote in almost every programming language I used at least once. I programmed at least 5, probably rather 10 games where you can connect different balls. I have so many ideas: 1. focus on the core gameplay (no computer jump levels, no huge balls which roll around, no non-goo blocks, maybe even the level is made of balls?) 2. ghost goos (can be built through walls, goos climbing on these can also climb through walls) 3. building huge characters made of balls, who have simple signal/electricity based logic - balls who emit signals towards all connected balls (either regularly or because of some condition like touching - ,balls who react to signals (usually changing the length of the connections to other balls) - balls who forward signals 4. auto connect on touch 5. make single connections manually 6. level creator 7. custom goo ball creator 8. you are a charcter yourself 9. all the balls you bring to the exit of a level can be used at the beginning of the next level (a linear path of levels) 10. special exits, which unlock new levels and paths aside from the main path (all paths end at the coorperation) 11. balls who can attack/kill other balls (maybe only if connected, maybe at touch, maybe they shoot lasers) 12. versus multiplayer strategy game: each player builds paths towards the other player, balls can only climb along your own paths(?) and you have to attack the other base using attackers ... Some of these ideas have been implemented in one or some projects.

There’s nothing I could possibly say that would describe how excited I am. All I can really say is thank you, please take my money.
