Mbappe is a great player, he will be a great player at Madrid. Even if he didn't win CL at PSG, his numbers speak for themselves. He has to do the work in training and he will displace someone in the starting 11. Madrid is not currently a team of Superstars, like they have been in the past, but they are a team, that knows how to work together. Mbappe, for free is definitely an upgrade.

@@jonjones3841 he was exceptional for his explosiveness and by the way he moved on the ball, but that was too much pressure for his knees and they gave out, also he did not deprived himself of half of what CR7 deprived himself in order to increase his longevity, also he did not work 10% of what CR7 worked to be fit for so many prime years. I just think it is foolish to praise a player more than another player just in terms of talent, of what he could've been if not for his injuries... Football is a whole lot more than talent, R9 is a prime example of that, so is Ronaldinho, can you imagine how he would've been if not for all those night outs? "and his fame/reach/influence far exceeded R9’s" - this is not clear. what does "reach" and "influence" mean? Does Cr7 "influence" more children in how they try to play football? Probably. Does Cr7 get more media coverage and attention? Almost certainly. Does that say that "95% of people associate "Ronaldo" with CR7"? - absolutely not. "Ronaldo" for me immediately generates images of Nazario. I *suspect* that many of my generation will be the same, i.e. 35-50 year olds who were 9-24 in 1998 when Ronaldo burst onto the scene in France. This age group *roughly* could equate to around 30% of the world population. Bear in mind that's a rough estimate based on available population data. Now clearly not all of those 30% will be interested in football, but if we apply that proportion we could *roughly* estimate that 30% of football fans are between 35-50 years old. This means that, in a *rough estimate,* at least 30% of football fans are *somewhat likely* to "associate Ronaldo" with Ronaldo Nazario. There may be some who are a little younger, and there may be some who are older who also associate Ronaldo with R9. Now, here are the issues. We can see that these are only estimates, which means no real conclusions can be drawn from these numbers. This demonstrates how it is *not possible under any circumstances* to randomly claim "95% of people associate “Ronaldo” with CR7". To draw this conclusion would take actual research, not someone's idea of the ideas of 8.1 billion people.

I dislike the idea that Madrid doesn’t need Mbappe. In reality they do, especially after Kroos leaving. Having Bellingham and vini was great, but they need a propert goal scorer, and vini and Bellingham aren’t nearly as reliable in terms of scoring as Mbappe. Maybe Madrid could have gone with a different striker and still been successful, however Mbappe is arguably a top 2 player in the world and he’s leaving psg for free, if you don’t want this you’re psychotic.

The World Cup and his goals record means nothing to Real Madrid. Madridistas will care only about what he does for Real Madrid and if he stinks it up in the Bernabéu, the fans *will* whistle him. The other partners up front will be more than willing to share the ball in order to win. Its not like ANY of them NEED to be world No 1. It was different at PSG with Neymar and Messi. They were all 3 SUPERSTARS. At Madrid, Vinicius is just brilliant totally and is great team player, Bellingham knows he is still young and also knows how good he is(himself), Rodrigo is excellent but not show off, Camavinga is incredible but is not a show off either, Vasquez, Militao, Valverde, Joselu, Alaba, Mendy, etc etc etc. There are so many in Los Galacticos that would love Mbappé to do what he does. Its going to be magic!
