It’s 2023.. and I still remember this song clearly, every lyrics of it.. I even remember the video clip. It’s one of my dad’s favorite songs. My dad even bought the album. I found out the song was released in 1989, it means I was 8 years old at that time. And now after 32 years later, it brings back all the memories. I could even hear my dad singing to that song. Rest in peace, dad. You’re STILL and ALWAYS in my heart.. ❤️

in late 1989, I brought this album as a gift to my girlfriend, we had separated in 1988, and then we got married in 1992, completely coincidence to the background of this song, and we are still loving each other this days.

I remember selling this song back in the late 80's. I worked at a record shop called Soundtracks in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester (UK) and this sold a lot. I was 16 when I started there and I remember falling in love with Kylie back in the day (nothing has changed in that respect!) it was a great time to be alive. There was so much more hope and positivity then than there is now. Today seems so much more gloom and doom. Young people see no future for themselves now. There was still hope then. We need to turn things around and bring back the hope for the future. I feel sorry for younger people these days.

I had a love/hate relationship with this song. Love it due to the pure nostalgia, hated it as it reminded me of the last song at the school disco here in the UK and I had to dance by myself as no girl wanted to dance with me! As a point, I made sure they played this as the first song of my wedding dance with my stunningly beautiful wife in 2018. 28 years of pain erased :)

Wow, this song brings tears to my eyes. Seeing them together is just so beautiful. It brings back memories and nostalgia. How wonderful it seemed back then. They made a beautiful couple. Jason was a heartthrob of many. At that time, life seemed like it would be wonderful forever. I really loved these two. Of course, things changed. They went their own ways. But, the memories are mind blowing. It takes me back to the era ,where the world looked so rosy, comfortable and full of love which this song shows. But.... life changed so much. This song brings back the tears, the what ifs. ... takes me back to that wonderful era. And I can't help the tears. God bless Kylie and Jason where ever they may be. I thank them ,for the beauty of this song and that gorgeous era. For the nostalgia, which takes me back to a memory. A beautiful, beautiful era.

I fell in love with her as a 16 year old back in 1987 (I was 16, she's a tiny bit older than me) when she was in Neighbours, and then her singing career (and movie acting!) took off and I've never fallen out of love yet.

👏👏👏👏 Yes. Back in 1987 I was 16, and she was in Neighbours (the Aussie soap opera) and I fell in love. Then her singing career started and I've been hooked ever since and still think she's the most beautiful woman on Earth. She's been a constant source of joy in my life. Apart from when she had cancer and I was worried sick. I'm glad that ended positively. Her album Golden makes me cry to this day, because of the lyrics of some of those songs.

This song brings back so many memories of the girl next door, she even looked like Kylie too. I was only 10 in 1988 and had only just moved into our new home. One day I remember seeing paper with writing on them being thrown over my house, I started reading the notes and realise that this girl next door wanted to say hello. I found out she was my age, white anglo, whereas I was vietnamese, and I thought it was strange that it didn't bother her. So we started playing games and hanging out. I remember she was running a little fun competition where she would walk around the neighbourhood and knocked on people's doors and asked if they wanted to make a guess (for a small fee) of how many lollies were in a jar, the one that guessed closest to the actual count would win the entire jar of lollies. I made my guess, and in the end, she said I won. I remember her mum not liking me very much, but it didn't bother us, we still hanged out. If you're reading this comment Suzanne, please know that I'll always cherish the time we played together and I'm so sorry that things ended so abruptly.

Strange to read because the girl seems like me the way she was playful and the vietnamese boy who chased me so badly until I gave him all my love and struggling with cancer again as of such individuals strange to read your message I think you have lost the best love of your life I am happy to say I found a new one a real love this time so hopefully my cancer will go away in a minute or two knowing my Love of Life is finally found. ! I wish You good luck I am not her but so funny to read similar story just from different age and time zone
