I C O N I C L E G E N D A R Y …thee M O M E N T when she came out of the 💿 …she was doing the cover pose for the album (Fever) this performance is a mash up of Can’t Get You Out of My Head and New Order’s Blue Monday …love the part where she sings… how does it feel (towards the end) one of my all time fave performance EVER!

As others have commented, this is a mashup remix of Can't Get You Out My Head and New Order's "Blue Monday". One important thing to note about this performance was that it pushed the concept of the "mashup track" into the mainstream public consciousness. It was only a little known underground club concept beforehand. Prior to this Brit performance the general public had never heard a mashup before hence why it blew everyone's minds and thus this performance is considered a turning point in music history. In the weeks and months following this, mashups exploded on the scene and became a hot trend that lasted several years. So yeah, this performance was Kylie at her ultimate peak of global influence and why it is consdered one of the Brit awards- and Kylie's- most iconic moments.

Great review & yes this was an absolutely amazing performance! So glad you reviewed & enjoyed it 🙂 This is the Blue Monday mix. Blue Monday was a massive '80's hit (hence you feeling the '80's vibe 👍) from Brit band New Order. I loved dancing around to it then & still do to this day! Such a great tune! And then hearing it re mixed so slickly with Can't Get You Out Of My Head almost 20 years later, blew my head off! 😁 Kylie has done heaps of Christmas stuff. One of her best is 100 Degrees at the Royal Albert Hall with Dannii. Although as an Aussie, the best was when she did the same song with Dannii, on X Factor Australia in 2015. It was their first televised performance together since they appeared on Young Talent Time (an '80's Aussie TV youth talent show) together doing Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves in 1986. You should check out that big hair! There's also a fabulous drag queen flash mob version of 100 Degrees on Bondi Beach on KZfaq from a few years ago. So cool! A great, boppy, happy Kylie Christmas tune! You just can't sit still when Kylie's around! ❤🎄🎉

She did a whole Christmas concert two years on the trot (2015 and 2016 I think) which are both brilliant! There’s also a performance she and Dannii did of their disco-inspired Christmas song called 100 Degrees which is a load of fun too!

This remix is called "Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head" as it merges CGYOOMH with New Order's "Blue Monday", a synth pop classic from 1983. The 'How does it feel', that she sings towards the end is also taken from that song. Kylie actually did a whole Christmas album. She also performed "Santa Baby" on American TV (I think it was on Rockefeller Plaza in NYC), which is definitely worth checking out. James….you need to check this Kylie Live video. As you know, Aphrodite tour was in 2011. After that tour was done, she said in her own words, “how do I ever top a tour of that size”, as the stage was reportedly cost £10m(fun fact, she sold the tour to Lady GaGa for her Monster ball tour the year after, she just changed then large pillars and took out the water elements). Anyway, after saying she couldn’t top it, she was itching to tour again so with no new album to promote, she did something no other artist in history has done. She put together a small intimate tour that’s featured songs that were album tracks, B sides and rarities, but were all fan favourites, and called it “The Anri-Tour”. She didn’t do many shows on Australia and London and Manchester(this video is the night I was there and it was at Manchester uni…..was incredible. Iconic performance. Recorded in mid 2000 and released in 2001 September. This perfomance is February 2002. I'm a huge fan but her vocals here were pre-recorded and mimed to. I'm the girl at the front screaming with excitement. The pole she held on to one of the stage crew left some gaffer tape on it and she threw it off it as she descended down to perform. This track was mixed with Blue Monday by New Order. It was a great comeback after the horrific 9/11 attacks and really lifted the public mindset. Nevertheless she's an incredibly kind, talented and iconic woman. Her first show was 'Skyways' in the late 70s. 'Can't Get You Out Of Head' was written by Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis. Kylie did a Xmas show which was filmed at the Royal Albert Hall and is shown on Sky Arts every Christmas since 2015. There is a better version of 100 degrees that she does with her sister Danni which is the full song performed at the Albert Hall with not only her band but a full orchestra. In that show she also got to sing with Chrisse Hynde from a band called The Pretenders as Kylie covered their Xmas hit 2000 Miles for her album Kylie at Christmas. You should check out her singing Santa Baby at the Rockefeller Centre in New York that was a few years ago. When New Order were touring back in 2005 and would do their song Blue Monday they also sampled Kylie, check out New Order performance at Coachella.

You are right she comes out on a record that is coming out of a jukebox like what they had back in the 50s, its not a CD you can clearly see the grooves that would be on a record.
