It’s a sort of sequel to Did it Again back 1997 with odes to Confide in Me 1994. Multiple versions of Kylie with a deeper meaning and metaphor. This time, it’s about female sexuality and masturbation. Pink dress / innocent Kylie enters a box (pun intended) which houses her inner mind and she mingles with her mind control (platinum blonde black outfit Kylie) as well as her flirty self (mini showgirl) and party self (red wig projection) to all come together and liberate herself. She leaves the box carefree and glistening to show she let all versions of herself gather together and as one. Someone else has commented she’s still bringing this in her 5th decade of music as well as in her 50s. It’s amazing that what this life long fan knows has been happening all along is getting recognised by new fan and the GP. Kylie has brought upon a Padamic, as she should!

I’m obsessed with THAT late 80s/early 90s, Italo, K-Klass, Joe Smooth, housey piano. Whomever named the song screwed up, though! It should've been titled "Touch Me Right There". I could sense with just the little teaser we received for Padam that this is gonna be one incredible album. One of her best, I'm just feeling it. I typically just buy the online album downloads, but this time, I'm buying the deluxe CD. It's hard to believe, I've been a fan of hers since 1987. I consider myself fortunate & blessed to have been able to see her in concert (3rd row!) in 2019. I wish I could see her in Vegas, but not gonna happen. You can tell they've invested some money in her past two videos!

Dunno if anyone else has mentioned, but Kylie's been doing her own vocal production! She had to learn GarageBand to keep recording in lockdown, which she made herself learn, then she progressed to Protools & now Logic! Yep... byotch is unstoppable lol. She said in an interview that they just kept letting her do her own vocal prod bc she was doing a really good job & no one really knows her voice but her.. It's a disjointed, jumbled hot mess of a song and I love it. I get that it's a complete departure from her very traditional dancepop sound on this one but that's OK. Considering the theme and how its portrayed it makes sense to have so many tone shifts and interrupted sections much like love-making for most people. Plus I do love that she takes chances and not everything is going to be a winner. Although to be certain this one is. It's been stuck in my head just as much as Padam Padam. In fact, literally.. ALL WEEKEND! Padam Padam Pun intended... ;-)
