When my daughter was a baby she was happy as long as I was talking to her. So I would keep her in the kitchen and tell her step by step what I was doing and read recipes to her. Like you just said I also said the same about her becoming a chef by 1! She is grown up now and an amazing cook and bakes beautiful looking things like you do. I am sure your son will too! When you’re done cooking the fish remember le guance! Even with a small whole fish the cheeks are lovely! Also the leftover bones make good stock! I worked as a fish monger one summer and learned about fish prep. Particularly if you have a whole salmon, of course the cheeks are much larger than your smaller cod.

How wonderful to hear baby sounds! It’s never too early to get him started in the kitchen! That reminds me of someone I was in college with. His mother was a professional French horn player and in utero he heard her playing and teaching. Turns out, he is now a phenomenal, world famous horn player. He can do things with the horn that nobody has ever been able to do! You never know how much you can influence a little one!

This is how I cooked most of our meals while raising our children and I’m happy to say they are all amazing cooks and are now cooking along side my grandchildren. They also cook for me now! Kylie if you grate the potatoes and soak in water it washes out a lot of the starch, I drain it, rinse again then towel dry and add a little oil and salt add spice as you like to taste. You can make into little piles for ease on a try or into bird nest in a cupcake try to use like you did the eggplant shells … add whatever you like fish, veg or even egg and cheese for breakfast… bon appetite dear family!
